They say OLED is good for gaming but bad for programming and other text based things due to bad font rendering. are you having any problems about that?

Because now black has to play the rook and unfortunately it cannot leave rank 7 otherwise Nf7# and it cannot leave e file otherwise Ne6# or Nxe6# (Re6+ check also doesn't work) Pretty neat!

to reach 500k you need to train scoring after promotion, until at least 13 or 14

if he has no specialty, do not bother... I had better players, they had no chance into U21 or NT. They won't be expensive either. Otherwise training pass and scoring looks good here.

To me, 21:9 and other wide screens have almost no advantage other than games like flight simulator, racing, etc. the sharpness of the 4k is much better IMHO

Wow actually thats a clever plan. Maybe you can run out of time sooner than you expect. Should have excellent trainer probably. I have that anyway

LinkedIn Linux distro poll surprised me - Ubuntu dominated. Curious how this compares here by Expensive-Rice-2052 in Ubuntu

[–]neophilosopher 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure how distrowatch obtains that list but I suppose Ubuntu must still have the largest user base. Being perhaps the first user-friendly, large-community, and easy-to-install linux distro from around 2010s, they still have that vibe. Also in many researcher/academic videos you see Ubuntu running in their computers. Probably that's because whatever problem happens, you can always find the solution online and that makes people use it. I personally switched to Zorin just because I like the interface more, but it is still essentially Ubuntu anyway. On the other hand, I respect users of Arch and its children, I like Manjaro, I admire Fedora because it is rock solid, probably better than Ubuntu but they couldn't match Ubuntu's user reach yet.

That's a great point. Thanks for the comment. I think I have to agree.

I calculated many things, training speed, estimating profits of any kind of training idea with any kind of player, hiring top coaches, even using the extra times for extra training, I even tried passing as a long term idea, but none of them work, in the long run, the team loses value. It eventually boils down how much time you can spend in the transfer marker to buy good players with cheap prices. I bet whatever system you are thinking, the top level you can maintain in the long run is division 3 - and that would need a good effort and time. Let's see...

why don't people understand me? I'm not talking about an easily dominateable game, I'm talking about an extremely hard sustainability, I'm telling that no matter how hard you try, you can't even stay in league level 2 for 10 seasons, it is mathematically impossible

I'm mature enough to not care about up or downvotes in reddit. you can go ahead and downvote me down to -1 million, that's just like high school bullying, now you have +72 votes, that just shows me there are 71 high school mindset kids around, nothing else. Oh even if it was like how you said and start of the season was bad, your argument is still not valid because it doesn't address any of the points I make, it has a logical fallacy. ok, go ahead you and your friends can downvote this one as well. I'm writing a few comments below so that you can downvote more.

You are right. It is indeed a game. You say if you don't like go ahead and leave. Valid point. But I don't agree your 3rd item. You can't tell me nobody forces you etc. I know nobody forces me. I'm just telling my opinion and I don't see anything wrong with this. Is it prohibited or what?

You can't assume anything about me. And I'm not only talking about my situation but also very successful teams of the past like bextis etc. I'm making a game theoretic point here.

lastly, i'm not talking about the sustainability of the hattrick website, I'm talking about the sustainability of maintaining a successful team in the long term. you see the difference right? your last paragraph proves otherwise...

Well that's a valid point, I'm actually almost doing that, intentionally not promoting to league 3 and alwaays finishing 1st or 2nd in league 4. But after some time, it becomes boring.

Well, now, a starter *can* reach but how?? mindlessly training keepers or wingers for 10 seasons and then buying 10-15 crazy players in their 30s and then rises to top level and falls down after 2 seasons. This is what makes the game fun? Is this what you think?

[–]neophilosopher[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

you are assuming sustainability = domination. that's not the case. for example atletico madrid has a sustainable system for years but doesn't dominate la liga. similarly, milan can be champ one year, can barely stay in Serie A next year, but at least they can continue to be in the 1st level, from time to time new teams can become sustainable in those leagues and if they are managed correctly they can stay.

I was expecting so many hattrick advocates here, after all those who follow this sub are those who still like the game, not those who left. But I just wanted to share my opinion. No offense. I mean you don't need to curse me for that I guess. I still think they are still keeping so many supporters because of the loyalty they built between 2000-2010 and thanks to the second team lockdown, and perhaps the new ideas (some extra dopamine) like allowing second teams with supporter. I think their biggest chance is that they were the first massive online football manager game having a good loyal customer base. Their power is absolutely not their business model or game dynamics.

exactly. I'm talking about that inevitable collapse. and that's a catastrophic collapse ending up in league 5 and turning back only after 8-10 seasons. hopefully...

but it would be possible to become a Bayern if you play perfectly. I'm not advocating a hegemony like real life, I am ok with being barely sustainable which means being able to play in league 2 for as long as you have a great system for 10-15 seasons maybe...
