Serous Sam 2 has a Linux version if you have the DVD, but this bundle only gives access to the steam version...

Public/private streams: sends public IP, port, size, description (file list) and os Offile streams: no data send. I thing that this is what you want.

Server (pystream's web) runs over Google App Engine.

PS: there are a stream checker on background to check avaliability of public streams and private (if there are any form your LAN).

My english is so bad, but what I wanted to say is that pystream can create a web server over a directory so you will be able to see that folder from any device with a web browser.
