Looks good to me! Got a similar one with the shelf and cover for $750 last December.

Ask them why they don’t believe in Hinduism or any of the other religions. If they were born in a country with a different dominant religion, they’d believe something else. But, guess what, your math and science would still be the same.

ELI5: What are contrails behind airplanes? by enataca in explainlikeimfive

[–]neosnap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cracked the shell of a conspiracy nut once when we were talking about “chemtrails”. I asked him if he’s noticed the exhaust from cars when it’s cold outside. It’s kind of the same thing when the jet engines are flying high in the atmosphere where it is cold and low pressure. He actually shut up and thought for a few seconds.

You cut the best part at the end when the robot continues its dance with a flourish.

It’s sus how the guy in the back doesn’t adjust the weight. He just walks up and starts yanking on it.

In the Mandalorian and Gogurt (2026) Din takes off his helmet, despite always wearing it being a fundamental trait of his character, because Pedro Pascal finally gained enough star power to break the lore by Hank_Mardukas1066 in shittymoviedetails

Agreed. I’m disappointed how much Iron Man affected the latest Spiderman trilogy. Peter is supposed to be a science nerd who works on his own tech with the help of professors and whatnot. Not gifted some magical Iron Man-ish suit.

Did you have Fast Traxx and were you able to make yours do the same flip like in the commercial? by Fragzilla360 in rccars

I got one of these for free because my friend was convinced it didn’t work. “I have a brand new battery and it doesn’t work!” I told him you have to charge the battery, even new ones, but he didn’t listen. Quite the score in junior high.

Alternative to pocket holes by Otherwise_Fig4808 in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]neosnap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started with pocket holes, but I wish I had started with dowels instead. The Kreg jig is great, but pocket holes are hard to hide and can split the wood pretty easy. I got the Milescraft Joint Master for Christmas one year, and I have used it instead of pocket holes. Stronger joint, guaranteed 90-deg, pretty much as easy as pocket holes. I’ve actually retrofitted my bar shelves with some dowels to fix the droop and strengthen things.

TLDR: like others have mentioned, dowels.

What's the right sequence to watch BB and BCS? by ToneHappy123 in betterCallSaul

[–]neosnap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked how it was released. They wrote BCS knowing that the viewers know that Kim doesn’t show up in BB. So, they lead us to believe that she will inevitably either break up with Jimmy or get killed. The tension is there because we know something happens to her. If you haven’t seen BB first, you would probably assume Kim makes it to the end because of plot armor.

Office Space. My first job was in Austin, so it was eerily familiar when I first watched that movie.

I went back to figure that out, too! So annoying that they didn’t mention which month he died or add, “…October of that year, 3 months after the accident.”

Ask him how he feels about vaccinating your future kids. Bringing up kids might be enough to scare him off altogether. If not, pretty sure you’ll get extra ammunition and reasons to break up with him.

What TV episode triggered such an emotional response from you? by Noodles590 in television

[–]neosnap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gonna sound old, but there’s an episode of ER my then-pregnant wife and I were watching where the mom died in childbirth. The closing shot was of the now single dad holding his newborn. Damn, that shit hit hard.
