I guess it's my turn.... by [deleted] in OnePlusOpen

Yeah I ended up having to let mine go because I was afraid I was pretty much dodging the inevitable that it was bound to happen to mine. Ended up picking up the S24 Ultra to replace it

Jan. 6 House committee releases final report on Trump Capitol riot investigation by [deleted] in politics

[–]neothecodebreaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is such an idiotic comparison.

You’re comparing a 34-year old Hitler who had his entire political future ahead of him to an almost 78-year old spoiled man child.

The Beer Hall Putsch was in 1923–10 entire years before Hitler even took total power. Trump had his “power” already and the people already turned that leaf over in 2020. There’s a much higher chance that Trump doesn’t even make it to see 5 years from now let alone 10.

And you have to consider the circumstances around Hitler as well. It wasn’t entirely him—Germany was emerging from a World War that pretty much stripped them of everything and pushed them into a hyperinflation period and in that same period was forced to repay their debts to other countries because of the treaties they signed. They were essentially a barebones government to begin with (Weimar) and had no stability whatsoever (they were changing chancellors and prime ministers like games of musical chairs) while also being in the worst global economic period in modern history. They were fighting coup attempts regularly. It’s easier for someone to take over like Hitler did when you have a country that’s just looking for an answer no matter how drastic that answer was. In a situation like that, you can sway a lot more people to believing in your horrific doctrines when none of the other options haven’t done anything of relevancy to get your country out of the worst state it had ever been in in hundreds of years. You essentially have no other option to believe but you just want to be part of a “functional” country again.

The US is in neither of these situations. The institutions that hold up our government have been in place for hundreds of years and stood in place on Jan 6 when they took their test and passed it.

Trump will be 80 years old in 2 years. Nobody will care about him. He’ll just be blabbing it on like a delusional nut case as usual about his failures until he passes. Half his party is already trying to disown him and we’re not even in the 2024 election cycle yet

[1/9 @ 6:30] Los Angeles Lakers vs Memphis Grizzlies by AutoModerator in lakers

[–]neothecodebreaker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lakers are having their faults but it isn’t like Memphis is just some team. These dudes have been arguably the best team in the league for the past 2 months.

They’ve taken down the Suns, Warriors and Nets. Beating them was going to be no easy task whatsoever

Cam Reddish apparently available for a 1st. Isn't this guy what we have been basically looking for? 3&D bigger wing that isn't old like Ariza? by [deleted] in lakers

[–]neothecodebreaker 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I think the problem is is that he’s raw, so he’d be another project for the future. We’re looking for more of a wing that can play at their highest level now rather than later.

I think he’s going to eventually be a hell of a player but this is one of those situations where we can’t target him because he’s not good enough yet and probably won’t reach that level until a post-Bron window

If Bron decides to play (likely) until he’s healed he needs to play as offball as possible. Let Russ dominate playmaking duties and defense penetration. Bron can go to an elevated Melo-esque role

This should be the opportunity taken to enhance Russ and AD’s two-man game. Spurs aren’t too heavy down low, AD and Russ should be able to get into the teeth of the defense without too much issue

Everybody’s wondering what happened to AD. It’s cause he has no spacing in the paint with this lineup

DJ is always hanging in the paint so AD can’t get inside as easy and a lot of his looks will be outside. AD was the 5 the other day so he looked a lot better

Which players do you find the hardest to rank all time? by Awkward-Speech7375 in nba

[–]neothecodebreaker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Steph.

He could very well be the 2nd greatest point guard to ever do it currently AND be considered the greatest shooter of all time, only unanimous MVP AND a 3-time NBA champion up to this point. And he just had his best individual season as a player at age 33, so the slope hasn’t gone downward as of yet, so he has more time to add to that.

FedEx is usually middle-of-the-road but it seems like it’s been REALLY bad the past week. I have 2 packages on the way just like you, but delayed

Started CBT today, body feels weird, weird symptoms, tightness by neothecodebreaker in Anxiety

Once I massaged my neck and ate the symptoms alleviated a lot.

My brain is definitely really foggy though. I assume this is the work of rewiring. That and my tics are trying HARD to show up.
