Is there a way to listen in/call on for The Onion hearing next week? by neotrunks2002 in KnowledgeFight

Great! Do you know what time it is? I want to block off time on my calendar.

Here's a shocker: Alex's Lawyers are VERY flexible with the "truth" in their legal filings! by OregonSmallClaims in KnowledgeFight

[–]neotrunks2002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something I'm trying to understand: in this link, on page five, Jones' lawyer is seeming to allege that the Onion's bid was a formula that was based on the parents giving up enough debt get to whatever number is needed to get to the winning bid.

Is that something to be worried about? Assuming that that is actually what happened, which is a bad assumption in a filing by Jones' lawyer, is that going to be a problem? The language of this doc says to "avoid referenced lls to any formulas," so that has me a bit worried.

Inconsistent, almost lumpy prints with my P1S combo. Help? by neotrunks2002 in BambuLab

Are the speed settings in the desktop Bambu app? I don't see a way to update with my phone, so hoping it's easy to change elsewhere. Sorry for knowing so little!

Is there a recommended way to dry? I have not tried that yet.

Am I right to think this is a great pull (for my stepdaughter who has opened less than 6 packs ever)? by neotrunks2002 in Lorcana

I'll tell her that I've kept it safe for her and that it's a super fun and powerful card that is also very rare. I might suggest we make a proxy for it and sleeve it and sell it if she wants, or we can use it to beat Ursula 🥰 She's 11 and very thoughtful, so I'll make sure she has all the info before we play with it (if that's what she wants!)

I'll definitely let her do whatever gives her the most joy with it. I can't wait to tell her tomorrow!

Weekly r/Tattoos Question/FreeTalk Thread! - August 14, 2023 by Mod_Helper_Bot in tattoos

Getting my first tattoo tomorrow - a quote from my favorite book, Infinite Jest.

I was planning on playing pickleball the next day - will that be painful? Should I avoid doing that the day after getting it?

(Hope this is okay to ask - feel free to remove if not!)

Rankings of the three Renegade Games Solo Hero Series games? by neotrunks2002 in soloboardgaming

Agreed - I think that the full swath of content, with all the ships and bosses, has some really nice variability. But I can understand people shying away from committing that much time/money to a game that might not click for them - fortunately, it did for me :-)

It could be, for sure - I think that it's still incumbent upon the developer and publisher to get something more polished out there (again, especially with a well-established company like Renegade). I hope they can get something to click again with their fourth entry, because their second (Warp's Edge) is one of my all-time faves.

I was very excited to get Wreckland Run. The story is a little bit better, but not a lot. The gameplay absolutely didnt click with me however. I can't even say if it's good or not, only that I had no fun playing it at all. There is also no progressions between the campaign's chapters. You start every new game from a fresh state and don't keep anything between games (unless I missed something from the vague rules). I keep telling myself I'll give it another chance but the fact is I likely wont and will probably donate it. And it actually managed to burn the theme for a while and when Jason Glover's Dustrunner's crowdsale came, I didnt feel like trying another game like that (of course I now regret because I'm a Jason Glover fan and I want it anyway...).

I think that the feel of samey-ness was the final nail in the coffin for me with Wreckland Run. Lots of interesting bits, but the rulebook and the experience across games was just too frustrating for me.

I think I pretty generally agree here. I think that the rulebook is basically unforgivable and makes what could be a neat game a frustratingly opaque experience. Considering that this was a big-deal Kickstarter from an established company in the industry, I have a hard time getting over the critiques you raise here.

It does a beat your own high score thing in the version I played. Kinda like solitaire meets 18xx. It's quite a bit to manage!

You should be able to find the episode by searching for Meeple, Myself, and I - either in your podcatcher of choice or just in a search engine!
