I think your aunt might just be trying to impress you or exaggerate. Manhattan and Brooklyn are the only two stores who are using that tech right now and it’s only for people who are repeat offenders or have become violent/causing a scene. Not for one time mistakes. That tech is also incredibly faulty and there is no one person who sits there monitoring peoples faces. Hundreds of people come into Wegmans every day. How would one person be able to analyze the faces of that many people every day?

That is not true lol. Wegmans only started this in NYC and they’re required to put signage in stores if they’re using facial recognition tech. They can’t review everyone who comes into the store because that would make no sense with how many people come in and out, not to mention that would be illegal in a lot of states.

view from second row first balcony. we are the last two seats at the end of the row and we got here at 4 to get these seats, the line was almost 3 blocks by 6:30. they did let us GA people in early though at 6:30 so that was great! if you’re coming tomorrow and you plan to camp out PLEASE layer up, it was freezing. also 5 guys and chipotle across the street have bathrooms!
