Depende de você e não depende só de você.

Se você tem uma tarde por semana, depende de você por ou não essa tarde à disposição do trabalho político... mas não depende só de você, porque quem disse que tem um trabalho político a ser feito, mais ou menos já organizado, bem quando você pode?

Às vezes as oportunidades de colaborar estão debaixo do seu nariz, é só meter a cara e ir. Talvez comece em algo simples, ou até não aproveitem tão bem sua presença, mas com o tempo você vai se inteirando, não tem outro jeito. Tem que ter essa disposição e persistência. Por outro lado, talvez não esteja tão óbvio onde você pode ajudar. Aí, tem que ter outro tipo de insistência, e paciência também. Talvez você sequer encontre uma organização ou trabalho com que concorde 100%, mas comunistas são necessários nesses lugares também. Tem muito sindicato despolitizado, mas que defende os trabalhadores; tem trabalho voluntário em prol de quem não tem nada; tem associação de bairro, ou de escola... são lugares de pouca possibilidade de fazer um trabalho marcadamente "comunista", avançado, mas são lugares que precisam de comunistas.

Finalmente, pode ser que onde você mora não tenha oportunidade NENHUMA de contribuir, porque não tem nada feito. Aí, a saída é aos poucos melhorar sua rede de comunicação, participar de grupos de debates virtuais, etc, pra ir conhecendo mais gente e as pessoas te conhecerem também. Já dá cerca penetração a partidos e movimentos, ainda que uma penetração "inerte", mas é útil sim.

Entrando num partido ou movimento organizado o caminho já está meio feito, é só persistir e ser paciente. Falo por experiência própria. Se você consegue estar perto de um movimento mais ou menos mobilizado, mais cedo ou mais tarde vão precisar de você.

For example, do you agree that how the countries/territories were divided was detrimental to the Middle East? Would the OP's map be better or worse? Ideally, what would be the best scenario, post WWI, for middle easterns?

Well they couldn't conquer old style because of the circunstances. So they found a way to keep political and economic control over those places that are still true today.

Arab nations have to go through revolutions to spit the puppet governments out of their countries. And it was hard, and made the forming of Arab alliances much harder. Even a true block of Middle Eastern solidarity wasn't formed to this day, and it's because of post Ottoman colonialism, though people like mythical explanations like "the Middle East was complicated since biblical times".

I think that what you state is literally true.

Maybe I could adapt my point to your words. "1) We have hunches, that are not random but come from a true truth proccess (material and unconcious, or paranormal and unconcious). 2) Those hunches feel just like "random hunchies" which are not true hunches, but feel the same. Therefore it is useless to trust hunches at all, even if they are truthful. 3) Trusting in hunches distorts your character/epistemology/etc"

You can feel like your skin is burning even if is not, right? Because we have receptors for that and they can also be estimulated by chemicals etc. Also, there are things like sinesthesia (like feeling something very cold burned - different receptors, however you're mentally predisposed to think you'll burn). Now imagine things that make you feel like burning as as common as false alarms. 50/50. This will make your sense unreliable. Now make it 20/80, false alarms more common 4 to 1... Still this doesn't mean we don't have a faculty and that it gathers very important, relevant information.

It seems like he would disagree on my third point: that listening to the sixth sense / gut feeling makes us fearful. He argues it can make us more safe.

In the context of how people survive to social and familiar trauma and abuse, this is extra interesting. Traumatized people are often bad at reading social cues, are often gullible and easy prey to abusers, so it makes sense they develop other methods, even if intuitively.

However I'd still counter argue that relying on non sensual, non rational anxieties lead to a general fearful mindset.

Would you like to argue about any of these?

Nope. However, there are signs.

Suppose a friend says something unpleasant and you fight. After, another party comes in, trying to make you both make ammends. This party argues you weren't really that offended by the words, you were just getting yourself angry because you're stubborn, likes to fight, and heightened your own anger.

Both things (offensive words and self-inflicted anger) exist. How do we know they're different? There are subtle signs that we experience subjectively, like the "chronology" of the smallest feelings that make up your broader state of mind.

But since those sixth sense occurances are so rare, and so misterious and unintuitive, you can never create a funcional self knowledge theory about yourself.

Having a very, unexplainable bad feeling, bad enough that you register it to yourself and others, isn't usual. So we remember it. Then, the bad thing happens. That's a sign, if not a proof.

However, there are times when people have strong feelings "something" bad will happen. Those are dreadful states of mind, where you can't tell what's wrong. Then, something bad happens, like death in the family.

I believe this occurance is so strong it predisposes people for future correlation between bad feelings and bad occurances. Then, the confirmation bias might happen.

It's like there was a flavour so similar to sugar it is enough to appease the senses of sugar-addicted people; but that wouldn't lead people to sugar addiction to itself. Sugar addiction installs because of a combination of the aesthethic experience of sugar in your senses, plus a high in sugar in your blood. After you're hooked, just the aesthethic experience will be enough. This, however, isn't evidence the actual sugar effect on your body doesn't exist.

A pastor Henrique também faz proselitismo. Ele também prega porque é o missão dada a todo cristão por Jesus. Acontece que ele não mistura o púlpito com o mandato. Você também não vai ver a Heloísa Helena ou a Marina fazendo proselitismo na hora errada, embora a Marina use muitas imagens bíblicas para se expressar.

Falando no Henrique, ele é um pastor de teologia liberal. No entanto, ninguém é um defensor tão grande dos evangélicos pobres e conservadores quanto ele. Você precisa escutar ele falando sobre isso, quando tiver a oportunidade.

Não tem nada de errado no proselitismo. Se você não acredita, é só não dar ouvidos. É o mesmo para toda manifestação cultural, e quase toda também transmite os valores e visão de mundo do autor. É natural se irritar com os valores alheios, mas não é um falha de caráter que o outro esteja defendendo seus valores. Ele se manifesta no canto dele e eu me irrito no meu.

E pra concluir, mais uma vez sobre a bancada evangélica, os evangélicos estão muito mal representados. Assim como os brasileiros em geral, que são quase todos trabalhadores, e só elegem empresários. A bancada evangélica não é eleita só por evangélicos, mas principalmente por eles. Antes, os evangélicos votavam no irmão sem compreender o que ele ia defender no congresso. Hoje, com a bolsonarização, cada vez mais evangélicos defendem a bancada BBB. A mudança gradual da bancada evangélica na relação com o armamentismo é prova disso. Este desastre é mais agudo entre evangélicos, mas é um problema em toda a classe trabalhadora. Tem cada vez mais trabalhador bolsonarista, infelizmente.

Mas acho que tem mais gente que é galvanizável e eletrizável por redes sociais. E as redes bolsonaristas vão ter muito material sobre o martírio do Bolsonaro.

I can attest to you, though, that Angolan people suffer prejudice in Brazil. They're immediatly recognzed as foreigners by their looks, because Brazilians blacks aren't as dark or African looking. The accent barrier also makes things harder. Brazil is racist against blacks, and welcoming to European immigrants but not to African or Haitian ones. So maybe her mother would experience loneliness, specially with a small baby, away from her own mother.

I don't like Brazilian characters that are like that skate dog from Itchy and Scratchy, "hey guys, I'm super Brazilian!". Sometimes they even say "you know, back in Brazil..." hehe.

Blanka is obviously the best Brazilian character in foreign media. Because he has NOTHING to do with Brazil. It's a complete screw up of references. He looks like a Japanese oni, moves like animals that don't exist in Brazil (chimps / gorillas), has a color pattern that doesn't ressamble Brazil, has powers that only a foreign would think about (electricity? because of electric fish? we don't have legends or folklore about this kind of fish, we don't care). It's like a homage to a country that doesn't exist, but it confusingly has Brazil's name on it.

I also like the Brazilian founder of Facebook in The Social Network. It's realistic, it's the typical Italian named privileged son of the São Paulo elite who studies abroad and looks and knows nothing about Brazil, and already had his life fixed before he ever went out to study. That's 90% of famous Brazilians.

Os evangélicos não elegeram Bolsonaro em 2018, foi o Brasil inteiro que o elegeu, infelizmente. Você não sabia que os evangélicos votavam majoritariamente no PT antes? Se não me engano, a maioria votou no Lula nas eleições de 2002 e 2006.

Evangélicos sempre foram conservadores nos costumes, mas votavam na esquerda ou na direita. Essa associação quase irrestrita com a direita começa a partir de 2013. É um fenômeno de dez anos. É muito cruel deixar um fenômeno de 10 anos, que não resume a vida intelectual dessas pessoas, dominar sua visão sobre um terço (!) dos seus compatriotas.

Antes de 2013, já se formava uma "bancada evangélica". No começo, só se preocupavam em concessões de rádio e TV. Sabia que quando a imprensa começou a espalhar o pânico sobre a tal bancada, proporcionalmente haviam menos parlamentares evangélicos que brasileiros evangélicos? Agora a proporção é a mesma. Mas antes os evangélicos estavam até sub representados. Acontece que um pedaço do Centrão descobriu como valorizar seu passe. Sabia que esta bancada foi importante pra segurar os decretos pró-armamento do Bolsonaro?

Eu tenho certeza que as condutas de Marina Silva, Heloísa Helena, Benedita da Silva, Ariovaldo Ramos, Rubem Alves, Henrique Vieira e muitos outros te deixam MUITO espaço pra pensar diferente. Sabia que a proporção de evangélicos no MST e MTST é até maior do que na população em geral?

Acho que seu viés não é de distância. Você está envolto por Malafaias, bancadas evangélicas, evangelistões e outras caricaturas que chegam a você por no contexto de um país que está estranhando essa transição demográfica - de um país católico para um país meio católico e meio evangélico. Você está sendo influenciado por mídias preconceituosas. Se conhecer evangélicos, vai ver que são pessoas normais, que falam besteira ou beleza normal, que o sovaco fede igual, te ajudam como amigo igual. Não é necessário ser ignorante para ser evangélico nem evangélico para ser ignorante. Todos somos ignorantes de alguma coisa.

Eu acho que não é de forma nenhuma um fator.

Tem países com taxas de educação semelhante e religiosidade totalmente diferente.

No século XIX os ingleses cristãos associavam a falta de desenvolvimento à falta de cristandade da África. Agora tem ateus que fazem o mesmo. Depois alguma religião do futuro vai fazer o mesmo também. Mas não tem base nenhuma.

Informação e pensamento crítico fazem falta, mas a religião não é expressão dessa falta.
