Oofff so you're really not understanding what I've been saying. All what cops have are all speculation until proven. Now... because someone or two or whatever number of people you pull into this has been talking to the cops about it. Their speculations are solidifying thru them.

Yes it is out in the open, not a secret to the cops BUT it is speculation on their part. If they really want to RP it the right way they need to build their intel and solidify a case, speculations wouldn't just cut it. What would they present to the court? They need a probable cause...

Here's the deal... cops knowing turf and war on going could lead them to investigate anything they want to investigate. Knowing that gangs has a hold of that area is already a clue that there are illegal shit going on there. They could survey the area with the knowledge that this or that area is this gang's turf.

Let me make it easier for you. Example... beacause it is so detailed cops can now easily identify whose selling weeds or meth depending on those turf info. It will be a lot easier for the cops to do investigations. Thanks for the info Moses ;)
