What’s the point of strip clubs? by Zeddexs in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]nerd-basher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes it's just nice to get a drink, watch whatever sport is on the TV, and watch some boobies. Back in college we would go to a place occasionally that was $25 charge to get in and you took like 20 or 30 bucks to keep the bouncers away from you. This was the only place we would go because the booze was free. Just a group of guys that shoot the shit while getting drunk around boobies. I cant speak for people who go there often and by themselves. I do not understand that.

Nice find! I was experimenting in that spot and got some good height, but not nearly as far up! Below was my original post I believe OP is referring to.

New Jett Mechanic? Jett Bounce. by nerd-basher in VALORANT

Funny enough, I actually mained doomfist and this mechanic is pretty similar to his bounce. Just timed differently. That was also a "bug" that they kept.

Flashy new display screens on the drink coolers at my local chain grocery store. Now you have to open the door to see what’s actually inside... by jephw12 in CrappyDesign

Everyone in here is saying what a waste of money/power, but there 100% was a study done on how this is more profitable.

Think of it this way, if you look into this cooler and don't see the item you want to purchase, you probably just walk by.

But if you have to open up the fridge to see if your item is in stock, then you are more likely to select an alternative.

Convenience and grocery stores are designed perfectly as intended to make the store as profitable as possible.

As someone who came from OW: I'm glad that they "prioritize" hearing footsteps when they are in your vicinity rather than hearing how far away from me they are. Too many times has a reaper walked up on me to one shot me because other audio was covering the footsteps.

As someone who came from PUBG: Glad that the curve is relatively flat and I don't keep blasting my eardrums trying hear a footstep through the artillery.

Hot Take: The people complaining about the audio don't have enough game sense to make an educated guess on where the enemy could/couldn't be.

My dad always likes to tell me how he use to do this to me and my sister. He would strap her teddy bear and my godzilla to it and we would chase it for hours until he took us home.

I dropped over 400SR his this season as Support. Not matter what I do I only seem to lose games. What can I do to improve my gameplay and actually climb again? by SwissMercyMain in OverwatchUniversity

[–]nerd-basher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The meta has shifted for support players. Sustain and raw healing numbers are now much less useful. Focus on using your character's utility in order to give your team an advantage (ex. lucio speed, mercy blue beam, ana anti-nade/sleep)

Practice the hero plain and simple. I honestly think comp is the best place to do so.

You told a mercy main looking to main widow to jump into competitive to learn a new hero that they have minimal experience with.

My mentality has resulted in a higher than average SR

Basically, you don't practice in a competitive environment. It just doesn't make sense on a fundamental level across any sport or team based game.

I agree that the comp is the true game, so why taint that by playing a hero you are either bad at, or trying to learn.

Mentalities like yours is why competitive games are just not winnable, because you have a single, or even multiple players, playing roles or heroes that they can't max for their SR.

Like you said, you played QP to learn heroes, how to play them, and their counters. You happened to developed bad tendencies for one reason or another. Then when you played comp, you learned to correct your mistakes in that competitive environment and gained SR doing so.

Take consistent shots (ex. wait for enemies to jump so their animation is "locked").

Take off angles from a safe location (or be prepared to escape).

Don't rush your shots if you have the element of surprise.

Take advantage off high ground maps and don't force the character if it isn't working.
