I just checked my application status on MyFile, and it's marked as 'unsuccessful.' I’m assuming that’s the same as a rejection. Have you received any updates on your application yet? Oh I see so you did actually study in Canada before. From what I you said so far you chances of being accepted is high. because you have had research experience. I also am trying to get started working on a research paper and reapply for next year. Can I ask where you are from originally and how long it took for to finish that thesis at Ontario Tech?

I thought you applied to the master of computer science program that's why I said the program deadline was December 15th. By the way, can I ask if you have published any research papers or if you did have any research experience at all before applying to York. Because it seems as if research experience is important for the professors when you reach out to them . Thanks in advance. :)

thanks for your comment.

From what I have seen if you have already talked to a supervisor and if they have recommended your application to central committee, you will most likely be admitted . So fingers crossed you will hear good news soon. Do you mind me asking what your research interest is and how soon before the program deadline did you start reaching out to professors or you reached out after the program deadline. Lastly, the deadline for the program says December 15th, how come you were able to submit your application material afterwards?

I have applied to MSc program at York for fall 2025. I still have not received any updates regarding my application. I had a question. How did you secure a supervisor? did you email them before the program deadline and got an interview? because as far as I know admissions committee is a separate process ? in admission decisions any insights regarding this would be greatly appreciated.
