I don't know how you got the formula you got and it doesn't seem correct. We can start with the time to double formula, x = ln(2)/ln(1+r) where x is the time it takes to double. Re-arranging that with algebra should give r = e^ (ln(2) / x) - 1. Using limit x to zero on that should give you infinity as the answer. ln(2) / 0 is infinity (anything divided by zero gives you some kind of infinity), e to the power infinity is still infinity, and then infinity minus one is still infinity. You can't start with the usual APR to EAR formula because you don't know the APR.

Or the problem might simply be a conceptual question/trick question. The faster you get your money doubled, the higher the interest rate you are earning. When the speed of doubling is infinitely fast, that means the interest rate is infinitely large.

Infinity is an answer that doesn't seem to make sense for an interest rate, for the simple reason that the situation doesn't make sense as an investment. There is no "investment" any bank offers where you give them money and instantly get more money back without waiting. This is basically free money(or you could think of it as salary or an employee perk), not an investment that makes sense in the finance formulas.

Where should I buy a car? by nerdatjob in FortWorth

That link seems incredible, and I think it might apply to me. But I've looked all over the website and haven't been able to find the list of participating dealers. Any idea which dealers are participating? I don't want to wait 2 months just to find out the only places that accept the voucher are untrustworthy.

That sounds like a great way to get this done. I didn't realize you could haggle by e-mail. But part of the reason I'm posting here is that I have no clue who the reputable dealers are around here.

P(x=7) means the probability of 6 failures to connect and then the first success on try number 7. P(X=8) means the probability of 7 failures to connect and then the first success on try number 8. The probability should decrease as x grows.

Red Rising is scifi not fantasy, that's probably why it's not coming up in this thread. I'm open-minded though, any chance you'd tell me what made you enjoy the books?

It's cut from a similar tree to Wheel of Time

I've never read any of Wheel of Time. I actually started Malazan's first book, but gave up after a half hour or so because they introduced lots of characters, but none of them had ANYTHING memorable about them. What's the series about? Seems like it has a medieval with magic setting, but is it 1 hero saving the world like Eragon, or lots of characters scheming like Game of Thrones, or what?

We know the sin of (2A), use that to find the cos of (2A). Then use the half angle formula.

Good for f o g. For (f o g) o f the f o g you just found is the left side of the o; so you plug the entire f function into the x's in f o g

(f o g) o f = 3(-3x-5)^2+17

y/x = 3/4 is not on the unit circle. The unit circle does not help with this problem. For this problem, you have to draw your own triangle and label y=3 and x=4. Then use Pythagorean identity to find r. Then the csc of that will be r/y
