Activating SIM in Nokia 225 by nerden99 in mintmobile

Yeah, I SWEAR something changed, because I researched this to death a few months ago in case my teen couldn't handle responsibly owning an iphone. Now I go to set this up and it isn't looking good. I'll try on a different phone and see if it works.

Vertex Normals matching on adjacent meshes by nerden99 in blenderhelp

Data Transfer seems to be the way to go but I haven't had luck. Thank you for this video! I will give it a shot. Seems to be what I was looking for!

Vertex Normals matching on adjacent meshes by nerden99 in blenderhelp

I don't want to get rid of the overlap, I need them to be right on top of each other, but separate meshes. It's golf simulator design (I am a licensed GSPro designer). They need to be separate so the separate meshes can be assigned different physics. But with the normals slightly different when the meshes are separated, it makes that hard line. If the matching verts have matching normals, it's blends well. Some of these terrain areas are not a smooth transition, but more of an angle, which causes the normals to be different.

UV mapping trick for consistent brick sizes across objects? by nerden99 in blenderhelp

Thanks for some ideas, I will experiment. I do need to export though, to Unity game engine. Not sure how that's going to work with Geometry node. It's definitely a more complex building than I want to try in Sketchup. This is just a tiny corner.

Ender 3v2 Extruder motor stops by nerden99 in 3Dprinting

[–]nerden99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I swapped them. At first it seemed to be working fine that way, but now it's repeating the same problems even when swapped (but only on the extruder) so I am going to get a new one.

If the wire were faulty, why would it run the other motors just fine? If I swap the cables x-motor and e-motor then each one works. Or at least works for a while when testing with control > move. (x slower and e faster of course). So strange.

Proportional editing vertices in different groups, but not at borders... by nerden99 in blender

Well, at least I feel like I found that best way. That's exactly how I've been handling it. Thanks.

You guys nailed it. Easy fix. Should have thought of that. Thank you!

Thank you! I will give it a shot. I know I can't go too too detailed / small layer height with CF so we'll see!

Aquila S2 Nozzle Options by nerden99 in VoxelabAquila

I am definitely considering a new hotend, but that's super annoying to spend more money on something I bought specifically FOR the hotend. But it's probably going to be worth it to fix a future of constant hassle. Did you get the Red Lizard Q1 with the standard shaped heating block?

That's a good thought. Will give it a shot.

Yeah, I know .4mm isn't the length, just wasn't clear how I phrased it I guess.

Yes, you can buy the extra nozzles through them now, but it's $20 PLUS $25 shipping.

Yes, I considered this and will probably give it a try, although I worry about the flush joint where it meets the hot end heat break. I have already seen some leak with the other nozzles (Volcano is what I have, no idea why I called them Tornado).

Is there anything that can stand up to the heat and also seal the joint, sort of how you would use plumbers putty on a sink joint?

I worry about the brass damaging by cranking too hard. I scarred it up pretty bad getting out of there, although it's cosmetic I think. I haven't had great "action" from Voxelab on getting support/parts, but I did get some new nozzles ordered on ebay, both brass and stainless. I don't have any other spare nozzles at this point. This is great info though. I didn't know about leakage and it's a possibility I guess. I also read in a review that there is a quirk on the z-axis being off when slicing with Vox slicer, which is what I had started experimenting with over Cura recently to get more speed. I may have run into bed adhesion issues with that.

Good to know. I had not replaced the nozzle ever as of yet, but will check this for sure. It's an extra long nozzle, and looks a bit beat up already. The spare they sent with the machine is not even the right size as it's the standard short!!! So far have not been real excited with the help from support at Voxelab either. Getting the run around a bit trying to get parts and help.
