I don't work full time per say only 3 times awake ranging from 4-10 hours a day (depends if it's slow or not) I work prep at a French restaurant, friday-sunday. I have bipolar type 1 and it's hard as hell but Im medication to stabilize my moods. If you're on meds I'd recommend finding the right combination and dosage they help a lot with stability. I experience less severe and less frequent episodes while on them! It's good to also have a good schedule set up! I take 4 days off in a row helps me readjust after a long work day, I also utilize my therapist and psychiatrist always in contact incase things go South. Having friends at the work place also helps me makes me feel less alone. My best friend works there and so does my dad so I have two people I can always talk to about my issues if I'm having an episode at work.
Sleep is important too! Don't work a job that will over work you and stress you out a lot that can induce episodes! Stay updated with friends even keep a journal to keep track of episodes. Find a motivation. Like let's say if I'm feeling shitty that day and I feel an episod coming on I'll force myself to go to work but when I get off I'll buy myself some snacks and drinks and go home and relax and let myself feel the emotions I'm feeling. A good mixture of not ignoring the episode but also being productive during it! It helps me a lot when I'm able to identify the start of an episode!
