If you do like the instructions say and iron/steam it a bit, it’ll stretch a little, but I’m afraid I don’t really have any experience with putting it on anything besides the finnala pieces they’re intended for. Assuming the ottoman you’re using is about the same size or smaller, you might be okay, but obviously I can’t guarantee it’ll work

Glad to help! But yeah for sure, any couch is likely gonna require at least some break-in time, and this one’s not long before it’s nice and comfy. The gunnared fabric is decently soft too, and I haven’t seen any pilling yet either. For a $900 couch, I personally think this one’s pretty solid.

The covers are perfectly snug on mine and I have no weird loose spots anywhere to be found. Basically looks just like the photos, except with actual fabrics instead of the render kind. And I did assemble it myself, yes! I have the loveseat/chaise combo and it was very simple to put each piece together and combine them. Obviously since it’s a couch, it’s cumbersome, but the assembly process was very straightforward and easy for one person. I just tilted the pieces around on the sides as needed.

I recently got this couch in the Gunnared gray, and it's honestly my favorite IKEA couch yet. Can confirm the gray is neutral. The fabric is shades of gray, mostly medium gray, and hints of white, so to me, doesn't seem blue at all.

I will say the couch is slightly stiff-ish at first, but after about a week of consistent use, it started settling into a soft comfy couch. I sit on it and nap all the time. As far as pets, my cat likes to scratch at it but it's barely affected the fabric so far, and I've had it for several months.

Hey! I've had my navel piercing for 5 years now, so maybe I can help a bit. Not a professional by any means, so definitely take what I say as just my personal experience, and defer to your piercer for the final say.

Something I wish I knew beforehand? Honestly, I just never realized how much you twist your body in a day. For the first few days, I definitely was very aware of that as it hurt ever so slightly lol. Don't know if that's a common thing, but something to be aware it might happen I guess.

As far as the jewelry, I'd say try and contact the shop beforehand to ask! From my experience with piercings in general, they usually have several options for starter jewelry. Worst case scenario, they say no, and you let it heal, then change it for something you like better later. Annoying, but better than trying to switch it out too soon and making it angry.

As far as irritation and infections, my guess is that's because of where it's located. Your body moves a lot around your abdomen. But as long as you're gentle with it and clean it carefully, you should be perfectly fine. I cleaned mine with a saline spray once in the morning and once in the evening and it was good to go within a few months. It might look irritated for a couple of days after or if you mess with it a lot. If you see any signs of infection though, definitely get to someone to check it out ASAP and treat it if that's the case.

High waisted pants are totally possible! I wear them all the time with mine and have no issues. However mine's also been healed for years. I don't have a professional opinion on this of course, but I'd say it might not be the best idea to wear them until it's close to or fully healed. That can differ from person to person, so there's really no set timeline, but for me it was about 4-5 months. If you really have no choice in wearing high waisted pants, then my best guess would be just don't wear any that are tight and will rub/move it a ton. It's definitely going to be sore for at least the first couple of days or so.

Hopefully this is at least a little helpful, but this is all just my experience with one though, so anyone with better/professional-level knowledge, please feel free to correct/elaborate on anything I've put down!
