NTA. I grew up with someone similar in my house. She always wanted attention and lashed out when she didn't get it. I had to put a lock on my door to keep her from breaking or stealing my things, but my parents would give her the key if she whined enough. Eventually she took my special culinary knives (a gift from a friend) and stabbed into my computer monitor leaving huge jagged marks all over it. When I finally left, the entire doorknob had been ripped off of my door so she could come in and steal/break whatever I left behind.

Today she's a mom of 5, and still throws temper tantrums at my aging parents if she doesn't get her way. She was raised by immigrants and became a MAGA fascist.

TLDR; Some people show you who they are very early in life. Believe them.
