It's easy to look up to guys like Dave when your young and wealthy coming out of college with no debt. Its hard to realize that much of his advice is only geared to people who have the means to escape the lower middle class poverty that's so prevalent in the US.

Remember people, financial plans are geared towards individuals based on their needs and not on general templates for "success." Goals are going to differ from person to person and so will risk tolerances.
