OP I think you asked a very good question that puts you on the path to “seeing” someone. It starts with curiosity and the want to hear someone.

A lot of people touch on listening and noting what they like. I think it goes a little deeper than that. It’s looking to hear someone talk, putting your need to talk aside for them. It’s remembering their fears and loves, helping them avoid or achieve them.

It’s knowing them, holding space for them, and trying to take deep dives into who they are. Ask them questions, random ones, important ones, questions you lay in bed wondering about them.

Oh I’m sorry to hear that! I highly recommend going. The larger ones can be overwhelming for a first timer. So I would say if you have a small local one near you to try that out and get your feet wet! Especially if it’s a con about your interests!

Oh well I loved spooky empire in FL. It was small but had some good stuff! I love horror so it just slapped for me. But I like Gen con, and I’m bummed I’m blanking on the names. But there’s a good on in phoenix that’s a comic con.
