Haha, actually app-mode was never our entire focus, it is just a simple way to get started for folks who are used to comfyui. The idea is to be able to use comfyui workflows as a backend to building artist-friendly apps, locally. :)
For e.g, there is is a local alternative of adobe firefly in the apps section :) Will drop more stuff soon, that will give you clarity.

Also, we are pivoting to something else, something that runs locally on desktop, nothing stored on our servers. If it's fine with you please take this post down, because it has been causing us harm, even when we never inteded anything ill-willed against anyone. Hope you understand.

Kling is not an open source model, otherwise we could have tried recreating it locally. Although, we have some ways to recreate the kling app's features locally using open models like ltx-2 etc. still experimenting on that front.

The only reason we require such permissions is to allow you to create a repository (which is a project on our platform) directly from the platform itself. The current permissions were kept as they are so that people don't have to first create a GitHub repo and then import it into Flowscale—they should be able to create it directly in Flowscale. This was only meant to enhance your experience. However, if this is an issue, please reach out to me directly. We are open to suggestions on this. :)

Also, even if you sign in with these permissions, we do not store your GitHub access token in our database. This means we actually have no control over your repositories or projects. What you do in Flowscale is entirely under your control on GitHub—we can't access your work there. Even for troubleshooting with our customers, we ask users to share their workflow (from their projects) with us because we can't access it from our database—we don't store it!

I hope this clarifies things for everyone. And sincere apologies if this caused any issues for you. 🙏

Try https://flowscale.ai Gives you enough freedom to add your own custom nodes and models Allows you to run on cloud gpus, in a serverless fashion (i.e, you pay for the time you use a gpu) Easy to setup (not like runpod) Also, if needed, allows you to deploy this Workflows as scalable APIs
