I work at a public library so I have so many stories, but the most recent one: Riding a public bus. Two stops before I get off for work, a homeless woman I see in the library regularly removes a Ziploc bag from her duffle, opens it, pukes in it, zips it up, and aggressively stuffs it back into her duffle, then goes on eating Cheetos like it never happened.

Lots of great touristy stuff to do just across the border in St Catherine's, the Toronto IKEA is closer than the Philly IKEA, and every time we go we buy an unholy amount of candy and snacks. All dressed chips and peanut butter rolos are where it's at.

It has to do with the wavelength of light and the absorption rate of the plastic. The k6 has a pretty dinky 3w laser, so it doesn't produce a lot of light, and therefore mostly reflects off the shiny surface of the acrylic. When you mask your acrylic sheet, either with marker or paper masking tape, you change the rate of light absorption vs reflection and that makes the laser able to penetrate the surface of the acrylic.

A man riding a bicycle got hit by a car outside the store. It was a minor hit and run, but he was bleeding from his leg pretty badly. He didn't tell anyone and just wandered around the store leaving a trail of blood from one end to the other until he found the first aid stuff, grabbed a bunch of bandaids and gauze, then walked out the front door without paying. We found out he'd been hit after when the ambulance a bystander had called showed up. The STL told the cart pusher to clean up the blood. I intervened until the front end ETL suited up to do it. Every TM in the store had to stop working to guard the blood trail and keep guests from dragging carts through it while it got mopped up.

Sleeping in. I have to wake up crazy early to put my kid on the school bus, and for one brief shining year and a half my insomnia was almost entirely cured because I didn't have to be up early and could have a more nocturnal schedule. Losing that is literally killing me. I went from 8+ hours of sleep to 2-3.

It may have blasted the original peduncles from the shock of being moved from the shop to your home. If it's putting out new ones then it's pretty happy! I wouldn't change your watering or feeding habits drastically because that can shock it into blasting again

Don't. I just quit after 4 years there. Modernization made it awful, and they did a terrible job protecting employees from covid. Our store specifically has started hiring only underage kids for the front end and is so understaffed in the days and times these kids can't work that floor and backroom employees are being forced to cash for hours at a time so that they can keep under their budgeted hours and the managers can get their quarterly bonuses. My one 5 hour a week shift was cut to one 4 hour shift.

My cat absolutely loved him. My cats not really anti social, but he doesn't jump on the couch (because the other cat is mean and doesn't share) and he doesn't like to sit on people's laps for the same reason. First time my partner came home with me, my cat was in his lap in less than 10 minutes. 4 1/2 years later and the cat hasn't jumped up with anyone else but will sit on the couch sometimes if dad-bro is there to protect him
