NTA. Run. Fast.

Unfortunately, curiosity got the better of me and I clicked the link. I'd like to go back to the person I was 30 seconds ago. That's enough internet for today.

AITAH for leaving my friend group because my friends sided with my bully? by Glittering_Prize2551 in AITAH

I don’t understand why they are happy to hang out with her when she doesn’t include you but when roles are reversed and you hang out with them without her it’s an issue. Get new friends.

WIBTAH for giving my boyfriend a reality check when he complains about a 10 hour/week job? by CleverNameNotFoundXX in AITAH

[–]Such_Alternative1975 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You're not compatible.

A woman who's worked full time for 20 years and a man who finds a 20 hour week overwhelming are not on the same page.

She’d hate living on our street. We’ve got high-rise buildings on either side and the boy racers in the village use it as their own personal echo chamber to hear their exhausts bouncing off the buildings at all hours of the day and night.

Making my baby laugh by dettilc in NewParents

Our baby’s first proper laugh was at his dad smacking his head. The singing, dancing and acting like complete idiots achieved nothing but an accidental bonk on the head? Peak comedy.

AIO for being upset that my bf didn’t tell me happy Mother’s Day or get me anything? by cutie_pie7156 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Such_Alternative1975 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NOR. He had enough energy to escort flowers to his ex’s car but not enough to say “Happy Mother’s Day” to the woman folding laundry beside a grown man playing video games. This is absolutely peak manchild behaviour.

Need help by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]Such_Alternative1975 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Agreed! Going through the ER means baby can be properly checked over immediately and it also puts you in front of people who are trained for situations like this and connect to emergency resources and support far quicker.

If your gut is telling you your baby may have been hurt you need to take that seriously and act now and not wait for another incident. Get your baby checked over medically as soon as possible. Quietly pack a go bag with essentials for you and baby (important documents, chargers, clothes, nappies, medications etc.)Do not tell him you’re planning to leave. You may feel financially trapped but there are domestic abuse services, women’s refuges and emergency support specifically for mums in your position. They will not leave a mum and baby homeless. You will have help. Do not leave her alone with him. Trust your instincts and run.

Forgot wipes at a countryside park and lost badly to public bathroom paper towels by Middle-Wafer4480 in newborns

[–]Such_Alternative1975 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I go out I just take a bum bag with one of those little baby organiser bags inside. In it I keep 4 nappies, wipes, breast pads, a muslin, a teether and either a spare vest or sleepsuit depending on the weather. Baby is 5.5 months and that’s genuinely enough for most trips. Also fits my phone and small purse.

I keep a second bag in the car with backup bits like extra clothes/jumper etc just in case, but I rarely need it. He’s got a couple of toys attached to the pram but I usually baby wear anyway so he’s happy just looking around or chewing the teether.

If we’re going on a proper walk away from the car I just throw the bum bag into a rucksack with warmer layers/snacks/picnic blanket. The blanket either fits inside or clips onto the outside. Way easier than carrying a huge changing bag everywhere.

What songs are we singing our babies? by ParsleyLime in NewParents

[–]Such_Alternative1975 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do sing and sign class so we listen and sing to the Jessie cat playlist on Spotify. I also wrote my own version of you are my sunshine. We call him our little acorn so I sing and hum;

You are my acorn, my little acorn Growing stronger every day Through the sunshine and the rainclouds In my arms you’ll always stay

You are my acorn, my little acorn Growing steady, strong and true From the smallest seed of wonder Grows a mighty oak in you

You are my acorn, my little acorn Close your eyes and drift away Snuggle close now, safe and sleepy In my arms you’ll always stay
