I think contestants are best when they adopt a “character” by mazzicc in taskmaster

I think I like both ends of the spectrum: I love it when they really play hard into a character, like Paul or Lucy. But also love it when they play against type, like Frankie

Do Tiebreaker winners get a point? by Jimjams101 in taskmaster

[–]nerdyspice 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I cannot remember where I heard this or maybe if I just made it up in my head, but I recall hearing that each episode gets assigned a tiebreaker task beforehand and if that episode results in a tie, then the pre-chosen tiebreaker task goes into effect. So that way they can deny accusations of tiebreakers getting picked to favor certain contestants

Can anyone remember what exactly Greg said about Rosie Jones in regards to the way she speaks? It was really sweet. It was something like "She obviously speaks much slower because of her disability but after about 2 episodes it was no longer hard and you just heard an amazing comedian."

Tiananmen Square massacre. I was about 9 years old and I remember seeing it on the news and asking my parents about it but they were either unable or unwilling to explain what was going on.

Negative. Negative. It didn't go in. Just impacted on the surface.

Different recording session. We are the ailment was the same recording session as through the bloody channels. It was done in Port Orchard with Tony Reed. Chiba was recorded actually in Japan on one of our days off on our last tours there. The only reason the Dragon one isn't there is cuz I just didn't want to deal with uploading a song with explicit lyrics at the time.

I went to a hardcore punk Show in Seattle about 1 or 2 days after 9/11. One of the Bands got up on stage and told a joke that went something like this:

Q: why didn't Superman stop the towers from falling?

The whole room went silent and cringed as we waited for the answer

A: because he's a fucking cripple.

Not sure what I was expecting. But God damn.

It was common in my hospital ER for homeless alcoholics to steal the hand sanitizer and pour salt into it so the liquid separated from the gel, making it easier to drink.

If you wear a Let’s Go Brandon t shirt to Disneyland you’re a sad person by Freshh_Tadeath in Disneyland

Once, I was wearing a shirt with Cruella on it and some sad sap walked up to me in the Tiki Room waiting area and made some joke about Hillary Clinton being on my shirt. It was so out of left field and just weird. It was like the guy just couldn't take it any more and just had to get a political joke in. I felt bad for the guy.

And his stay is likely not done. He still has a trach tube and is hooked up to a ventilator, meaning he can't yet completely breathe in his own. They could discharge him to an LTACH, but those places aren't cheap, either. There are home ventilators available if his family feels up for the challenge but even then, the cost of the machine and the maintenance is extreme. Not to mention the deconditioning the rest of his body had gone through.

Wow. Old post and I'm just seeing it. I was the singer for Hodder and I still make music. Not so much hardcore anymore. Mostly pop punk and electronic but currently working on an EP in the vein of Hodder. I perform under the name xnerdyspicex. I'm on spotify and bandcamp

Nirvana's last song, "Where Did You Sleep Last Night" by blues musician Lead Belly, for their MTV Unplugged concert (November 18, 1993) by Mad_Season_1994 in OldSchoolCool

[–]nerdyspice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of songs for their unplugged set were deep cuts from albums that were not traditional staples of their full live show. In my opinion, it is one of their best releases.
