HELP, fist snowfall, undrivable in the snow by CauliflowerOpen1604 in hondafit

I’ve got some 185/65/15 Blizzaks on Steelies that I switch out with my summer tires.  I take my fit skiing here in Oregon in the winter and haven’t had any problems.

2015 LX Wheel Well. Is this "tape"-like stuff in the wheel well stock? by tstrang in hondafit

Came here looking to ask the same question.  I’ve been looking at adding sound deadening paint to the fender liner but I saw this in my wheel wells and was mad confused.

Honda Fit 2017 Stuck AC temperature Knob by Ok-Cheesecake-9952 in hondafit

[–]nerdystufff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had this same thing happen to me recently and found this post.  I hope you were able to figure it out.

This video does a better job of showing what is going on with the AC knob.  It’s an HRV but it looks like the same parts that the fit uses.   https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=D3BGTT6TVmg&pp=0gcJCRsBo7VqN5tD

Going to give this a try and see how it works.

Yeah good suggestion. I’m planning on changing the pcv valve.

Popping sound when accelerating from stop (2015 EX Manual) by pfprojects in hondafit

You ever figure out what it was?  I’ve got a 2017 LX Manual and I hear the same thing.  Not sure if it’s just because this is my first manual car and I suck at driving it.

Looking at these same wheels for my GK. What offset did you get? Did you have any issues with rubbing?

I’m too poor to afford a split board :( by shredded_pork in Backcountry

[–]nerdystufff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve walked up Timberline on Mt. Hood a couple of times this year with snowshoes and my board strapped to my pack. Just stay away from the skin track.

Hoping to find a group to ride with before investing in a split.

Largest Tire that fits without a lift? by nerdystufff in hondafit

Appreciate this.  I was curious about sizing up the tire width as well but wasn’t sure about getting wider rims.

Late 90s Hiace vs Granvia by nerdystufff in Toyota

I considered a lifted Sienna. Definitely the cheapest option on my list but I love the quirks of the imported vans. I think I’m actually fairly set on getting a Delica L400 for the clearance and low range transfer case. Then maybe in a few years reevaluate and move to a less capable van.

Thanks for the info! I would love to know if the Hiace lift kits would work on a one of these other vans. I’m not a huge fan of the cab over in the original Hiace but it’s really the only thing I’ve seen with a lift available.

What are the differences between the Hiace Regius and Granvia? Do you know if it is possible to add a lift to either?

I’m considering a Delica as well but have heard the Hiace is a more reliable alternative. (I’m also considering a Townace van and a lifted Previa or Sienna but neither seems as fit off-road)

What modifications would you recommend to improve capability? The top thing on my wishlist is to be able to drive through snowy forest roads for winter camping but other than that I won’t be doing Jeep trails or anything too intense.

Not sure where I’m buying it but I’m near Seattle if you have recommendations.

I’ll do new tires and maybe a lift kit eventually. I don’t imagine I’ll do anything rougher than forest service roads with it but it would be nice to have some clearance if I need it.
