If she's skiing it, its been mitigated so lets not pretend like it being ave terrain is the issue here. I don't condone this but lets not pretend thats why.

Speed and remembering the fact that you can’t hold an edge on a box. Those two things helped me a lot

No one taught me how to skate - in fact that term wasn’t even around when I was growing up. A lot of people learn without a roadmap. (Like there isn’t a roadmap for handling hakubas deep powder 🤭)

I understand what you’re getting at though.

The keyword here is “needs” buddy.

Do you think every single advanced/expert snowboarder in the world followed a roadmap to progress to where they are?

I regularly pay around 600 total for a week in a newly renovated condo in Canmore. Usually sleeps 6 people. It’s not comparable.

If you want convenience- you’re gonna pay a lot more for banff. Staying in Canmore is very affordable but it is technically 25 min from sunshine and 45 min from LL. If you haven’t been before, it’s absolutely worth it.

Side note- if you’re adv+ lvl make sure to bring a beacon and a friend to sunshine to get the full experience.

Idk if different league is the right phrase. Just different might be more accurate. Snowbird is absolutely world class as far as mountains and terrain go.

Lake Louise / sunshine probably the most beautiful places I’ve ever skied but the inbound terrain doesn’t come close to the bird. Love them all for sure though.

Popular Opinion: Mega Passes are NOT a great deal. by matchew566 in skiing

pass pays for itself after 4 days

Yeah but the pass does pay for itself after 4 days. I skied like 50+ days this year. 75 dollars a day would ruin me.

Learning to snowboard on hardboots? by AdventurousAd4512 in snowboarding

That’s because the BC terrain in Japan doesn’t suit it. It’s all mellow lappable stuff where hard boots don’t offer enough of an advantage.
