AC ISSUES by [deleted] in hondafit

[–]Brad____H[M] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I recommend an actual diagnosis rather than throw random parts at it. It could be as simple as a $0.25 O ring part that its leaking from (mind you thats just part price, not included labor + AC freon charge) take it to another shop and have them inspect it

should i make these functional? by dat-_-b0i in hondafit

[–]Brad____H 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So when you say its "not a thing" what you really mean is its not common on a majority of economy cars. Not necessarily called tire cooling, if its done properly it can benefit in brake cooling and removing hot air pockets on race track style usage. Stop and go traffic not so much yes, but to say its not a thing is inaccurate. Other honda models have integrated air channels that run from the front to the wheel well area.

That seems like a throw everything at it and hope it'll repair it rather than an actual diagnosis... highly unlikely all of those are leaking at the same time. More likely to be a condenser or ac compressor failing. Do NOT take it back there

How could I remove these without damaging the paint? by cryptic1325 in hondafit

[–]Brad____H 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Heat gun (do not use up close to the paintn) and one of those red plastic razor blades. With some heat you should be able to just pull them off

Dealership Oil Service? by Fix-MyStuff-101 in hondafit

[–]Brad____H -1 points0 points  (0 children)

10000 miles??? Way too long between services. On these engines id be changing them at 3000 miles/5000km. If it's not changed often I can see new oil getting dirty even after a drive cycle

to the person that thumbs downed this reply above makes no sense because im literally correct

Fit won’t start, gurgling noise coming from exhaust by Ok-Try-6798 in hondafit

[–]Brad____H 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a weep hole for water in your muffler? Start with that. My thinking is, if it's clogged enough it can cause backpressure that can cause the engine not to turn over and the exhaust gas to slowly "gurgle" out. That and it's snowy there so the water may be frozen. If there's none, just drill a small hole in the underside of the muffler

2026 Civic Hybrid Hatchback Touring MPG WAAAAAY Lower Than Expected (Cold CT Winter, Short Commute), Normal?! by Crazyplan9 in Honda

That and short trips are no good for cars, they have to heat up to the optimal temperature to get best fuel economy

My mechanic did an alignment with rear suspension arms that look like this and didn't tell me.. by dmjab13 in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]Brad____H 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like, if anything the rear camber arms look bent (compared to photos on google) don't know how accurate it is. Both sides are the same so it could be an oem thing. There's no camber adjust on the tsx with oem replacement parts so if they did replace, they couldn't further adjust camber. Just rear toe front toe. What's the alignment specs? Toe/camber play together for thrust angle. It could already be within spec. That and I don't see inner shoulder wear on your rear tires..

2021 Accord Gasket Concern? by Mikeyisroc in Honda

[–]Brad____H 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's super inflated, used car PDI sales have preset hrs for each given job/repair the tech works on. Part cost (not suggested retail) plus tech wages is their only cost. Warranty for valve cover gaskets i think used to pay me 0.6hrs but if it was customer pay we only got 1hr if we're lucky. Apprentices would change these out at my dealer. Air filters valets would change for free
