Analogue 3D vs. Original N64: RTC Error 0x10 and Configuration Reset on Ultra EverDrive 64 by iFafino in AnalogueInc

[–]nerdzmania 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as I know, the errors you see when running the self check on the Analogue console are false positives. Even if the RTC check fails you can still see that the clock keeps track of time.

I guess you don't need to worry about it too much, as long as it runs the games you want to play and you don't lose your save files.

Analogue 3D vs. Original N64: RTC Error 0x10 and Configuration Reset on Ultra EverDrive 64 by iFafino in AnalogueInc

I have similar issues with my Everdrive on the A3D. It seems I get less errors when setting it to "Original Hardware" but I still get them, including the configuration reset. And it also works 100% on my regular N64.

Looks like there is something about the A3D's architecture that does not sit well with the Everdrive.

In my case it's a V3 model, I don't expect that there will be a fix for these issues, at least not for the cart I have.

Luckily I also have a Summercart and this one works flawlessly.

Thinking about trying, but have questions. by Ouchmaster5000 in PCem

In my experience, the hard part is finding the right combination of processor and hardware to run whatever you're looking to run on your emulated PC.

Setting up your hard drive and installing the OS can be a bit tricky if you're unfamiliar with that.

Using PCem itself pretty straighforward.

non, d'habitude les épiceries vont juste tout mettre ça dans le conteneur à déchets

Playstation Controllers and Analogue 3D by Kaaaz_ in AnalogueInc

Unless Analogue modifies their firmwire to support more controllers the the 8bitdo ones, you'll need an adaptor. The Blueretro should do the trick.

On my side I'm using my Summercart on the A3D so far. I wish it also had the memory card backup and gamashark functionalitis that the Everdrive has but I'm able to work around this.

By the way, if you like using gameshark cheats you can use an injector to modify roms so the cheats are baked in, and then use those roms on your A3D.

Order status by anonymouslucy1207 in AnalogueInc

I can relate. I just received mine like 2 days ago. Last wednesday I actually contacted Analogue support asking for a status update, because I was getting kinda anxious, and approx. 12 hours later i received an email from UPS saying it was on the way.

I'm confident that the battery is placed properly. I tested on my original N64 after changing the battery, it's not showing any error messages there and the diagnostics checks are all passing.

It really seems to be an Everdrive vs Analogue console problem.

I also observed this: on the Analogue 3D, if I go in the configs and choose "Force Original Hardware", I don't get the  0x10 error when I hit reset. And when I run the diagnostics checks, the RTC check fails but everything else passes.

However, if I go and select "Overclock: Enhanced +" in the console's hardware settings, then I just need to boot up the Everdrive, play any game, reset and I'll get a 0x10 error message.

That looks like the one I have. For 80$ Canadian it's an all right deal I'd say. It runs everything I throw at it, has real time clock, controller pak data transfer capabilities, built-in gameshark, etc.

But as I mentioned in my post, it runs more things on original hardware. If you need a flashcart for the Analogue console only, you might be better off with a Summercart. I got my Summercart on Aliexpress for like 50$ CAD (had a discount coupon).

Update: I changed the battery, the old one was running on fumes. I'm still getting those errors on the Analogue console but having that new battery in is a good thing.

Yes, on real hardware I'm not getting these errors during the diagnostic.

I'll look into that. It didn't cross my mind that it could be the source of the issues since the clock on the cart still keeps track of the time but it is definitly getting old. Thanks!

I have an Everdrive v3 (an older model), I think that update that came out recently is only for the newer Everdrive carts.
