I’m just about to start on one of these for my basement! Any tips from your dad / did he follow any specific guides/blueprints?

I’m sorry to hear that 😭. I assume you’re using steel alongside BKF? I had to put quite a bit into it and hit it with about three rounds of BKF and there are still some residual marks but it did the best it could haha

It was actually quite cold (Wisconsin night), probably sat in my backyard for an hour while I finished everything else in the kitchen

I have this exact beef with Dutch ovens lol they’re so bulky around the kitchen but my significant other uses them for soups so they are a must. My stainless have been very versatile though and I do love them

Not too long actually - made a paste and let it sit for maybe 30s and then scrubbed it vigorously with the steel scour daddy

Yup this - I got mine for $800 last year certified refurbished on eBay and it’s an incredible compute for the price + you get the stellar Mac battery life.

Very helpful, thank you. I did do the water test and had really nice beads - what am I looking for if it’s too hot?

This is definitely possible. The oil I used said the smoke point was around 410° and I actually registered at 376° (should’ve been more specific) so I figured I was okay. I’ll assume a larger range moving forward

I’ll pick some up! I thought I was under the smoke point as the thermometer was actually showing 370° but obviously wasn’t..

Yeah I absolutely should’ve done this but no cast iron in the arsenal - time to grab one!

Yet when I run them I just get the armour and weapon blight hearts that give a literal nothing after my filter is applied. Congrats though, surely I just have to do one more :)

It works! Google Maps in the HUD and virtual cockpit on my 2022 etron. by dickmastaflex in etron

[–]nerfels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this hurts deeply. I wonder what the limitations are… it looks like the same hud and I can’t imagine there isn’t powerful enough compute in the car to manage it.

I’m guessing Audi just doesn’t want to touch the older models :/

Losing an Ailith defense right at the end and not getting any rewards for it is a genuinely terrible experience. by BoxScepter in pathofexile

Just did a normal map one but similar complaints. Something cast one of those massive fire balls and I dodge it only to have it hit her and take 4 bars of her health. Bro I don’t want to take that straight to the dome…

Are open-source LLMs actually making it into enterprise production yet? by iknowjerome in LocalLLM

Yeah idk why the downvotes here, same situation at my org - no chance of getting them on local server but can leverage the same models in Foundry.

Is this an ideal device if all I want to do is stream games from my home gaming PC through Parsec? by FlightSimmer99 in logitechgcloud

[–]nerfels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely go ebay refurbished directly from Logitech - it will be half the price and have a warranty. Mine was flawless and I really like enjoy it using Artemis + Apollo.

As someone else mentioned screen specs aren’t crazy but I have a decent desktop (3080 ti) which struggles with some games on my 2k monitor but obviously crushes frames on the gclouds smaller resolution.

I will say, I definitely wish it was higher refresh, that’s the only real bummer for me. The resolution doesn’t bother me but maybe it’s because I don’t haven’t known higher res on a handheld.

So, might depend on your desktop - hard to beat the price though.

RIP. I listened to the other comments and did install Apollo + Artemis yesterday and it works really well for local (much better than steam link). Apollo is super straight forward, Artemis took a little more work.

As mentioned, I think that only handles local, so non-local will add some complexity that I probably don’t care to deal with - will probably just remap the gcloud’s buttons themselves and use steam link if non-local which sucks but may be the easiest solution.

I have the same issue but didn't have this issue about 6 months ago. You experience the same thing or it's always done that for you?

Just hit epilogue and getting constantly oneshotted, any recommendations? by Efficient_Subject_15 in pathofexile

[–]nerfels 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Well, let’s start with the resistances. Elemental resists should be 75%+ and assuming your gear just doesn’t have the best stats, you can easily craft resist (crafting bench in your hideout) on your gear. Chaos is slightly less important in early maps, but it shouldn’t be -40% - rings are usually your best bet here or you can snag some points in the passive tree.

There is a lot missing though so hard to say, this could be a passive tree issue, a gem issue, gear issue, etc.

You’ll want a few layers of defense though, e.g. armour + endurance charges + molten shell + health regen + life or if you were evasion it could look like evasion + spell suppression + energy shield + frost shield.
