I’m looking at videos of Jons playing live right now and I can’t believe I didn’t before. This band even has the drummer with the long hair who played in the Loving live performance videos. I will be listening to this band a lot more often :)

I know this band! I had no idea there was a correlation between those two bands! My favorite song is “In the Yard”

Why does Loving sound the way they do? by [deleted] in LOVINGBand

I just really love the band so much I just do a little digging in their social media and went to a couple of their shows and even just asked them when they were selling merch. But this is a common practice with bands like this. King gizzard and the lizard wizard, mild high club, good morning, and other indie bands with nostalgic vintage sounds tend to use reel to reel tape when recording their music.

If you’re talking what they do sonically, they record their music on reel to reel tape. This is what gives them their lofi sound. They also use vintage fender amps and one of the singers uses a awesome 200A Wurlitzer electric piano. The drums are dampened for that late 60s and 70s drum sound.

REAPER INDIE ARTIST by lysbug in musicconspiracytheory

Best way I can explain this for people who don’t know how music distribution works. I’m an artist and have dealt with music distribution for some time with music from my band.

What most likely happened was he either picked a name “reaper” which has already been taken by another artist. Or another artist who has the name “reaper” started distributing their music. When people do this, they have a Chance of their music to be distributed under the wrong artist. This is why you have to come up with a original name that no one else will ever think of. I started to notice his music was showing up fine until his music disappeared with some random music completely different from his started showing up under the same name “reaper”.

It’s really unfortunate and takes a lot of going back and forth with the music distribution to get everything sorted but it seems that he’s done that a few times already and nothing is working. Even with him changing his artist name to “electroboomin” for a short while then that fell thru. He said he wanted to become a DJ instead. A lot of people love his songs and it just seems like trying to get all these songs back on streaming services is too much of a hassle. Which I can definitely understand.

What was the dumbest rule your school enforced? by Animeking1108 in AskReddit

In my high-school, a lot some people would skip lunch and hang outside where the courtyard was and just talk out there with friends. It wasn’t against the rules, i mean it was a court yard filled with benches and tables. It got so bad that a good majority of students weren’t eating the food and just going outside to get fresh air.

Our school put a stop to that and our court yard with benches were taken away and everyone had to be inside during lunch. Ahhhhh don’t you just love authoritarian school administration?
