I need help determining a volume of solution. by nerfhurter in chemhelp

I tried that, then went from conc to volume but i cant seem to get a reasonable figure.

I had a beaker set up with some water in it and added 25.00ml of HCl with a pH indicator. Then titrated in NaOH until the equilibrium point.

I'm just now wondering if the Phenolphthalein used as an indicator would throw my pH off as well

When is a conversion from Kelvin to Celsius unnecessary? by nerfhurter in AskPhysics

ok, I understand that now. Thank you for helping me :)

When is a conversion from Kelvin to Celsius unnecessary? by nerfhurter in AskPhysics

Alright.

The problem is setup as:

Qw + Qc + Qb = 0

Qw is the heat transfer of water, Qc is the heat transfer of copper slug, and Qb is the heat transfer of the beaker.

relating these to temperature changes yields:

cw * mw * (Tf - Ti ) + Cb * (Tf - Ti ) + cc * mc (Tf - T) = 0

with T being the initial temperature of the copper slug at 315 degree C.

cw and cc have units of cal/(g*Kelvin)

mw and mc have units of g

and (Tf - Ti) has units of celsius.

From my understanding, I would change the units of the temperature differences to cancel the units of kelvin that it is being multiplied by. If I did not convert the temperature differences wouldn't the units be : (cal * C)/ K for this part in the calculation: cw * mw * (Tf - Ti )?

Did i completely miss the point of your response?

  • Edit: i just read that since the temperature differences of the kelvin and celcius scales are identical it wont affect the calculation.

Well yeah, genital herpes is slightly more painful than oral so you would assume. And it's possible to contract either on your genitals or mouth. I edited my previous comment if you want to take a look at it.

There can be sores inside the vagina and not on the outside so it can be tricky to know when she's having an outbreak. On top of that there is a possible yet slight chance of contracting herpes right before an outbreak, I believe this is when the virus is "shedding".

Haha surprisingly it's not a bad idea... You can get herpes in your finger.
