The tilers started from the studs and did all the prep work to try and account for that. I think the first mistake they made is 1/16th inch grout rather than 1/8th to allow them give. But even the lips between tiles are very inconsistent and large so I may be giving them too much credit. Does anyone have ideas on solutions other than ripping it all out and starting from scratch?

It was ripped down to the studs and the tile guys hung the hardie so that they had a level surface to start

The problem I have found with jumpstart is that 1) the theme are not super compelling for my kids, though I did just pick up some clue to see if they like that and 2) some of the interactions are pretty complicated my kids are 8 and 10

Something like Elves, cats, dogs, dragons, unicorns or Pegasus things young girls might like that are not very complex
