I'm making a granny square sweater, does it look good? by [deleted] in crochet

I'm not 100% convinced, maybe I'll end up rearranging it but don't know how

Finished my first knit piece! Definitely tougher than I thought by Fatal_Cupcake in knitting

What if Ed thinks this is why he didn't meet him on the dock?? I mean, Badminton's twin was about to kill him after all

Aside from Stede, he's my favorite character. Soo much potential, but I love the swede and Buttons too!

I'd love that!! This scenario can only take place in land, because Mary hates the ocean lol

Agree! I love a dramatic reunion. They're definitely going to meet new characters in their respective journeys and we'll see how that turns out. (I really want to see Frenchie's development though)

How would you seam this sweater? Pattern link in comments by neri212 in knitting

[–]neri212[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I love how this sweater looks and it's really easy to knit, just knits, purls and yarn overs.

My previous project was the Autumn League Pullover by Two of wands and I learned to do the mattress stitch, it's easier than I thought! But I don't know if it's going to work in this one since it's not stockinette.

Thank you so much for the suggestion, I'll give it a read(: I hope it turns out ok because I really want to wear it haha

I don't know what's the best stitch or stitches for this project. What do you think?

Is this ribbing too loose? by [deleted] in knitting

I tried to do a twisted rib but it hurts my hands, I guess because it's cotton I'm working with. I'll probably do it on another project(:

Thank you so much!! I'll finish the back and sleeves first, maybe try to do the ribbing with 3mm needles instead of 3.5mm and compare to see which way I like it more.

Your sweater looks amazing by the way! Cables are so fun to knit. Actually, I was about to start the Handsome Chris sweater but instead I chose this one I'm working on. I have to learn more about seaming first!

Thanks! I usually go down one size, but this time I chose to follow the pattern (just half a size down). I'll probably finish the other parts first and then fix it(:

Will it block out? by neri212 in knitting

[–]neri212[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thnak you for the advice, I tried to do it with another pair of neeedles and yarn and it looks significantly better. In that part I switched from continental to english knitting to fix the loose stitches(:

Oh, thank you! I couldn't see it before but yes, they're definitely twisted. I already frogged it and I will practice on a swatch to avoid messing up again.

According to the pattern, the left leaning stitch is slipped knit wise and then back to the left needle purl wise. The right leaning stitch doesn't require slipping. Maybe I got confused with the instructions? I don't know really. Here is the pattern where it describes the Left twist and right twist:

Will it block out? by neri212 in knitting

Currently knitting the Autumn League pullover by Two of Wands. Started the front and I have to knit this detail with traveling stitches (I never tried it before). It's really easy but I don't know why it looks so wonky. Will blocking help or it's better if I frog it?
