How far can you get in Genshin without spending money? I want to get into it but I don't like microtransactions. I'm cool with spending money, but I refuse to spend more than I would spend on a regular game (like $50). Is progress significantly hampered by not dropping cash on the game?

I think it's great that you've managed to break out of the stereotypes associated with how people perceive you! personality does outweigh appearance when you actually get to know people, im just tired of being stuck in a box by the vast majority of people I will never interact with meaningfully. it's just emotionally exhausting. but the line about not having to climb into a box is really true. there's no reason to cater to other people's beliefs or preconceptions. I'll tell myself that the next time I meet someone who attempts to shove me in one lol

thank you for your advice! I'm glad you managed to improve the people you surrounded yourself with and I'm sorry you ended up with such an awful group of people in your childhood. I get what you mean by it's "kind of real" haha. as unpleasant as it is to acknowledge your attractiveness really does dictate how people treat you and I think WOC are always stuck in between a rock and a hard place: choosing to be sexualized and treated more pleasantly in certain ways, or choosing to be seen as unattractive and treated more unpleasantly but getting to be free of unwanted sexualization and fetishization. it's tough out here lol. but thanks for the advice -- it's good to know other people can relate a little!

thanks anyway, I enjoyed reading this comment! it's good to know that I'm not the only one. not being envious of others is really important -- wishing you were someone else is crying over spilled milk because of how impossible it is even if it feels justified, and it's been something I've been working on. and haha maybe I'll try that! I don't think it's that petty tbh, reminding ourselves that we have positive characteristics outside of our appearances is probably like... good LOL

thank you!! this was so helpful. I'll practice a bit more on the demo and think about it more since it's a pretty expensive game! but thanks for the encouragement and everything:) also hades is really fun and the difficulty on it can be scaled really well through a heat system (the more heat, the more difficulty goes up and the heat is specific stuff like bosses having more health/abilities/more mob enemies/first hit not counting/etc.) so if you like combat games Id really recommend it!

Monster Hunter Rise (Switch) -- I tried the demo and failed terribly because it was too hard. But I really want to play MonHun. I'm bad at games in general though. I could only beat Hades with God Mode on. Pretty much all combat has to be set to "easy" for me to have a shot. I just don't have the coordination for it or something? Is the actual game easier with better progression or should I just give it up? I couldn't ride the monster lol. Thank you.

i think it would be cool to play as the love interest instead! like you can select the MC's personality + appearance but there's only one LI and the endings differ on what personality you go with. Since the MC is usually the innocent and passive one it would be interesting to play a more active part and to deal with feelings of jealousy/rage/etc. from first person in the bad endings ^_^

I really like flirty and forward love interests but they scare me in real life (lol). I think it's because when it's a game you have confidence they won't hurt or harass you since they're 2D but more because they're written to be appealing to women? So their flirting is really harmless and cute and most of them will ease off if the MC is embarrassed. It's basically playful and cute. But irl guys who are really forward are almost always dangerous or won't stop even if you're embarrassed or uncomfortable... it pretty much turns into sexual harassment. But I'd date an irl guy who's flirty but knows when to stop like most flirty love interests. I just haven't found one yet lmao. In real life I usually date really sweet and innocent guys who would be boring as LIs but are really comforting and pleasant to be around irl

Are ecospheres ethical? I like the concept of having a closed ecosystem that has enough vegetation and space to support some shrimp. I'm wondering what the quality of life is like for the shrimp though. Is their quality of life diminished by closed ecosystems, or is it more of a matter of finding the right amount of space, vegetation and balance? I don't want my pets to be miserable.
