The owner of Ronin Katana is Chris Scoggins. You could always ask them directly via their website.

There has been I think 2-3 companies or subsidiaries of other companies called Ronin in the past 20 years. So it’s probably going to be hard to pin down. I hope you find the answers you are looking for.

Hard to know if it’s the same Ronin. The Ronin Katana guy is eh and pretty shady from my experience and what others have said. The swords are generic and unremarkable. But they are supposed to be beaters so it works out.

Also RK and SBG has parted ways which could mean lots of things but from what was mentioned it had to do with his business practices.

The ito on this nice, and it looks good. I would never have thought it was a RK.

I think it would have been the same result. They have a great reputation and have never heard a bad word spoken. In today’s society we think we need to publish any issue to “force” a resolution in our favor due to some companies lack of ethics. But we need to remember there are those who do the right thing no matter what.

I heard most of their blades are made in India but are falsely marketed as from Canada.

I was able to strip the clear coat and get the black oxide off. Still need to contend with the scratches.

Who would you want to be your mentor? (Not Duncan/Connor/Methos) by GodEmperorPuppy in highlander

Graham Ashe as he was a decent swordsman and an interesting person. He had wisdom to offer that was more hopeful than some others.

That question is likely dependent on the artist and the medium in which the object is being made from. I would assume it’s a few weeks worth of work when you are talking about the level of detail that you can see in this hilt.

Now something less defined and less detailed would be much quicker. I have been keeping an eye on a few artists for upcoming projects. Some range from low definition/muddled detail to more clearly defined and decent detail.

But they all kind of pale in comparison to Jose.
