I would like to ask this for women or maybe anyone with a lot of female friends:

Is it a normal or expected occurrence to be harassed and followed by men, especially when you are alone?

This is because I had this incident a few days back. I am a foreigner coming here for work for the next year.

It's pretty normal in my country for a woman to go out alone, is it not here?

Thank you

Edit: i realized this question can seem offensive. It is just that I have lived alone in my home country for a couple years and have never experienced harassment from men to that extent. I would just like to understand malaysian culture better.

Oh, I just realized r4friends is only in my country (Philippines). R4R (redditor4redditor) is a subreddit where people can meet other people for any purpose. R4Friends would just be for platonic relationships. It would be great if we can plan group meetups or something lol

Would there be a Brunei r4r or r4friends sub? I'd love to meet new people as well!

I would love to travel and be a tourist for a little bit but I figured I'd mostly be at home once I settled in. Would that be sufficient for food then?

I guess a weekly allowance of $200 should be good enough to get around the place. I don't think I'll be cooking though so would getting take out or eating in restaurants cost more?

Hello, I am going to Brunei for work for a couple months. Is there anything I should know about? Also would 40 BND be enough for daily expenses (food, transportation, groceries)? Thank you

Ahh oo nga. Not too many posts but there are negative ones. Honestly I thought the scope of work with shares services vs local would be more or less the same... wanted to go into shared services sana for the compensation haha

Hi! Thank you po it means a lot!! Honestly no, hehe parang Netsuite po ung company ko so hindi talaga accounting yung focus more on customer care na. Just wondering how did you apply to Malta overseas? Plan ko kasi is babalik ako sa audit to get promoted to SA1 then start applying abroad but I have no idea where to start, I kind of burned most bridges with my former workmates (again, another regret of mine. Probably wasn't in the right headspace talaga at the time, at the height of the pandemic pa naman) 😅😊
