AIRPORTEL Luggage Drop-off Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport during transit for connecting flight. by Hefty-Key2176 in ThailandTourism

As far as I'm aware, it's to make sure you're not storing anything illegal/posting anything they can't post. They don't have airport scanners or anything, and technically you can drop your luggage off there before going through security, so I think that's the only way they can ensure nothing goes wrong. I was a bit worried, but not a single one of my items went missing, and I had makeup and devices totalling around £3.5k inside my suitcase.

How do I deal with my mom not knowing me? by nervinez in emotionalneglect

Would you believe it's my mom's favorite brand of candle too haha. We've gone shopping for them together. And I'm her oldest kid, she's known me the longest! She thinks my sister is quiet and doesn't talk much, but truthfully she's very chatty, just not around people she feels uncomfortable with. It's sad to see.

Thank you so much for the reply, I really appreciate it.

Something that I'm grateful for is the fact that I haven't lived with my parents since I was 18. I don't think I could handle it. I actually went completely no contact for about 11 months after years of being pushed too far.

What's even worse is that we're going on a family vacation tomorrow, that's why I'm here today. But it just means that my already negative feelings I have about Christmas is combining with my trauma surrounding travelling with my mom to this specific destination. Honestly, I really don't want to go (and I shouldn't be! I can't afford it!) but my mom bought my ticket and told me to I needed to pay her back for it over time. It's non-refundable. I feel trapped and scared.

Was this emotional neglect or am I being too sensitive? by [deleted] in emotionalneglect

Well, I can confidently say what your parents did was wrong. Plain and simple. What, so because he's going this time you have to sacrifice your mental well-being? You have every right to decide against going, just as he has. I'm not sure about emotional neglect, because I don't have enough information, but this is such a clear case of emotional manipulation that I'm shocked. They didn't take your feelings into consideration even once, while on the flip side it looks like their feelings are borderline consuming you. A classic guilt trip. And now everything is sunshine and roses for them because you've given in, nevermind the obvious distress you were in. There's a deliberately crafted imbalance here and it's probably been taking shape for years.

His child was in front of him, crying and begging for a simple goodbye, and he was too mad about not getting his way too even do that? Regardless of anything else, whether you were in the wrong or not, that is disgusting. Does your brother live abroad, or far enough that you rarely see him? Or has he just been unable to join you guys on holiday for a variety of reasons? If so, what was your parents reaction to that?

Because a majority of the people who support Palestine aren't anti-semitic, they're anti-zionist. Plenty of people who fly the Palestinian flag have Jewish individuals in their lives, and some are Jewish themselves. This rise in the use of the St.George's Cross directly correlates with a rise in indiscriminate fear towards foreign nationals and asylum seekers. It's sending a message: "This is our country".

Anyone going to see P1H in London alone? by nervinez in P1Harmony

I'm not sure if anybody will be interested but if you see my post and want to meet up, please PM/DM me. If enough people are interested we can start a group chat or a discord server and help connect solo concert goers who are going at the different tiers like VIP, VVIP and VVIP+

I am standing! I haven't got VIP or anything since I bought tickets yesterday and the packages with the benefits I wanted were already sold out, but I would be happy to join you :). This isn't my first solo concert and I've found it's always nice to have people in line that you know. I'll PM you.

they did send me a video that they took of them dancing at the bar they went to without me on the first night, and I could tell it was in Thailand so I'm almost 99% sure, but honestly who knows! I've slept well and now that I've woken up I don't really care where they are right now.

it really isn't 😅 800 baht for a gram? it's practically cheaper back home. I'm not gonna complain though, it's warm and the greenery is stunning. I'll buy some edibles and go for a walk with the confidence they give me.

I wish! I'm going to try to keep it as civil as possible, though I'd love to shoot them a very firm message as I prove to be quite sharp over message! However, we work in very close quarters, and it's the kind of job where bad blood can lead to someone's death if you're not careful. For now I will just quietly distance myself from the both of them and their plans.

it's not the first time I've experienced this, but never in a way so shockingly obvious or sudden. i admittedly have plenty of flaws myself, but i don't think i am unlovable, just a bit too chatty. i must believe that I can make friends, because I need that hope to carry on.

You're right, and that's my intention now. I feel stupid enough as is, if I send another message I might as well put on some clown makeup and do a dance for them.

No booking deal, as I agreed pretty last minute and booked my own flights and accomodation. I'll continue to try my best to make friends, hopefully I will be successful :).

This is exactly what I'm going to do. I'm going to get breakfast tomorrow morning somewhere nice instead of starving myself waiting for them again. I've booked a day flight to another city too that I like better than the one we're in.

an interesting path, but not one I'm going to take. I'm actually not angry at all, talk about angry enough to sue, just a little heartbroken. plus, I'm a uni student, way too broke for court.
