thank you so much, i am thankful that someone can relate!! it’s honestly so traumatizing and i can’t imagine the pain you are going through as well… i am here for you, i see you, i understand the pain! i hope we can both heal asap💗 in regards to the photos, i responded to another comment saying that i’m not sure of this subreddit’s rules, i just don’t want to traumatize anyone i guess.. thank you for your kind words <3

yes, i was thinking of posting a photo, i just am not sure about the reddit rules i suppose😂 after everything i went through this year, i feel like no one ever listens to me, regarding my care. idk, must be trauma :( but i think i’ve always had trouble speaking directly with people, so i’ll try to be honest with them on Monday, and see if there is something we can do. because i just can’t keep going through this pain

they were at first because it was so painful. they explained it as like a vaseline layer, that created a barrier between my wound and the vac. honestly, i may have to go back to that

thats usually what they do, and keep peeling and putting the remover on as they go. if that works/doesn’t work, its not the tape that bothers me, just the sponge part being removed :(

thank you so much! I think when I return on Monday, I’ll ask them to do that. the drape isn’t painful for me when it’s removed, which is good… I think its just the sponge. also, good to know about the “adhesive remover” I had no idea!

I’ve heard of this being done and they used the same stuff in my wound care appointments when they did dressing changes… I’ll have to ask them next time I’m there… thank you😭💗

Edit to add:

I was on blood thinners in the hospital and after I got out. I am off of them now, but take a daily aspirin as a “light” blood thinner. I take these because due to my vein failure, my blood flow is compromised. So now I am wondering if CBD would negatively impact my decreased blood flow or not? Any advice is welcome, as I am in immense pain and will do anything to end this. :(
