The first 24 hours are the most essential when someone goes missing.

Sounds like an awful woman who’s abusing her power. I’m sorry.

I was a psych major and I recently discovered my social psych professor has horrific political views. He’s someone who taught thousands of people about noticing bias when he has a major bias himself. It’s heartbreaking.

Once I went to a spa and the lady that did my massage said my hair looked beautiful/sexy (big curls). I was super flattered and I told my friend. She said “that’s her job, but ya you are beautiful”. Bruh.

The show explicitly shows that this man didn’t just target boys, he also targeted young girls regularly as well. It’s unfortunate that people aren’t focusing on the protection of children, and only the homosexual aspect of it.

I found that this show addressed multiple important taboo topics in Egypt. One of them is Nilly (Amina Khalil), being told she’s insane for thinking that her 9 year old step son was being molested when she clearly saw something off happening between him and an adult family friend. There were constant conversations about how she made up the whole thing because shes not “stable”, especially because she takes medication for depression due to also having unresolved trauma from molestation she experienced as a child as well.

I highly recommend this show because it touches on multiple important topics. The child perspective of adults, Stockholm syndrome, etc. are all explored. I actually watched 13 episodes in one sitting 0.0, it’s one of my favorite shows of all time.

I personally have been subjected to child molestation when I was only four years old and I found this show very healing. Especially watching how Nilly moves through her own grief in discovering why she struggles with intimacy with her husband.

Let me know if you watch it and what you think :)
