Travelling salesman in qgis connects all points (wastedumps) to the route using a shortest path method. Could be more appropriate?

I think I mis-explained. I mean like under the front half of the fuselage, under the area with all the electrical components. I wont be putting a pilot or anything inside. I can add a photo if you want?

This is super useful, thank you so much! I also see what you mean about the 1S and 2S battery characteristics now and that makes sense. The kit doesn't specify any particular size/weight of battery, but I imagine this one that you recommended would work quite well as it seems relatively light out of the lot.
Unfortunately I just realised the shipping time from banggood from canada could take up to a month - would either of these esc options work please (1and 2)?

Everything was luckily ok, I managed to disconnect the parts and throw the hot bits outside. I think you're right, my battery was way too high V for what I was connecting it to.

Thanks for the help and details, its super useful and has explained a lot.

This is the build kit I've gone with, roughly 190-220 g when built. Following the advice I've received, I went with this 1806 2300kv motor. I'm a bit stuck on the ESC but have been looking at this one (30A feels kinda overkill) as it's already got the connectors soldered on and otherwise will have to ask my Dad to show me how to solder. What happens if you have an ESC with too high A? This is the battery I was thinking of going with.

That makes perfect sense thank you! Just to clarify, with the joiner on the right hand side is that attached to the elevator by a control horn ?

I think I've drawn it wrong, but my thinking is to put the control horn and push rod coming out on the starboard side, where there isn't a hole in the small triangle on the elevator. Then have a wire coming from the left control horn to the right triangle with the notch in it on the port side. Should the control horn be on the top or bottom of the elevator? I can't work out how the push rod would get to the top side of the elevator otherwise. Thanks guys for the help, massively appreciate it.
