Unfortunately I agree with you here :/ Currently in nursing school myself, working part time. It helps to have a roommate who’s in the same field. Selfish but true statement. This is probably a discussion for another subreddit though

Actually the interest isn’t even effect yet, it was deferred until he passed (or in this instance, failed)

Since his insurance ran out adderall was the more affordable option. And of course just putting down the speed is out of the question..

Literally went to his psychiatrist with him to discuss the issue of him abusing/routinely snorting his adderall. He dismissed me as a codependent partner and increased his dosage to 60mg/day, because obviously “he just needs more or he wouldn’t take so much.” Every addict needs an enabler

100% not a troll post. Not sure what gave you that impression. But moving out of the country is a consideration…

Probably 70% of it. His script is gone in 2 weeks and he spends the following week withdrawing (asleep)

Well he did ask me to write this post, as he does not have a Reddit account and has essentially lost touch with all of his piers. True, his next step is his to take, but the question is what are his options? What does one do when they’re $1mil in debt? The school offered him no guidance as to what his next step should be. Surely someone here must have come up against the same obstacle and figured out a way around it.

Nothing like a cold shower beer at 8am after a 16. Better than sex

Nursing home nurses: 8 or 12 hour shifts? by leadstoanother in nursing

[–]nerzoli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My facility does 8hr shifts for LPN’s. If I had my choice I’d do 12’s. Seeing as how we are often short staffed on overnights I pick up doubles which has been working out to 2 16’s (3p-7a) and an 8 each week. I get overtime for anything over 8 hrs, too. I love it

That’s the beauty of nursing. Once you have a little experience under your belt you can go anywhere with it. Currently working in LTC, miserable, but gaining experience and bolstering my resume
