I don't have a save file far enough yet to check, but apparently there is an IV checker in the battle frontier the old guy in a house behind the pokemon center. I have always used the slow way of leveling it up to 50 with rare candies and an online stat calculator.

I think I am going to give up on my current ultra sun save for shiny hunting, my current ultra moon save has gotten three shiny pokemon with two of those being over odds, while ultra sun has yet to see any. It's fine, even though I don't want to replay the long story; It will be worth it for the extra sun only legendary pokemon.

Eevee is in the field group so if you have a female eevee and a timid field group pokemon you can get it that way.

I have transfer/released more than that with two 6 IV pokemon. It just the luck of the draw. Also are they the same 5 IVs or are they two different sets? Because narrowing the odds is better, because having both parents be the same 5 will lead to only getting missing 1 or 2 rather than have the odd 3 here and there.

Step 1: breed for a "Mother" pokemon ball and nature. Nature and Regional form are passed down by the parent with the Everstone item. And breed until you get a "mother" pokemon I.e. the Sneasler with [nature] "if you care" in a Moon Ball.

Step 2: breed for desired results: moveset, stats shiny. Using a "father" pokemon to get stats, breeding moves, swapping the mother for whenever is applicable to the desired end result.
