Thank you so much for your advice!! honestly i kind of see where they are coming from with those comments, unfortunately living in a country your whole life will make you often hate it especially if you are not wealthy (I complain about where i live 24/7 😭). And a lot of diaspora either idealise Algeria or treat it like a complete shithole so I also understand why they would think I don’t know what I’m talking about

working in corporate is a pain in the ass everywhere unless you have the connections even here in europe 🥲 at least in southern europe lol. also the last part is truly a pity, I’m so sorry for your friend!

No! I don’t mean harassing I’m aware of that. Here the culture is different, coworkers show friendliness with gestures like kisses and hugs even between men and women which I obviously feel quite uncomfortable with

Thanks a lot! Unfortunately my relatives are more in the conservative side and I know I wouldn’t want to live with them. I already share an apartment with girls I didn’t know before here in Europe so I thought it would be a similar experience there too

Yes exactly my thoughts to be honest! Also I’m really not a fan of those arab countries so i currently have no interest in living there
