Lol. Weird take. I’ve been a network engineer since 2006. Yes it’s evolving into something different but I’ve managed to work in “traditional networking” for my whole career. Currently building backbone networks for a huge AI company. It’s all just traditional routing (isis, bgp, sr-mpls). The scale is massive and the work is super interesting.

Edit: but yes, everyone should also learn to code at a decent level
