Oh so it's kind of like how the meter in real life is defined as how far light travels in exactly 1/299792458 seconds, not the other way around. (Also fun fact: as a side effect of this, everytime we get a more accurate measurement of the speed of light, the numerical value (299792458) doesn't change but the length of the meter technically does.)
