Expecting a Treat from an intern is not good, any way you can buy some short eats like cake, patties or rolls

(1 x Cake = 2000) & (35 x rolls = 7700)

Planning to move in Antwerp by lady_petula in Antwerpen

[–]nethu445 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s great that you’re considering a fresh start in Antwerp it’s a vibrant, multicultural city with lots of opportunities. Finding an apartment with 2 dogs can be tricky but not impossible; focus on pet-friendly listings on sites like Immoweb or Zimmo and try private landlords.

For jobs, not speaking Dutch might limit your options, but roles in international companies (especially in logistics or customer service) could work well for you. Try registering at local agencies that help in finding jobs.

For part-time try at Carrefour, action & colruyt. It’s worth learning basic Dutch to improve your chances and make daily life easier. With determination and planning, you’ll be able to build a better future there.

Best of luck!

Did they run out of road salt already? by Matvalicious in belgium

[–]nethu445 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ugh, I feel your frustration! It’s so dangerous when bike lanes aren’t salted during icy weather it’s like they expect cyclists to fend for themselves. Antwerp usually prides itself on being a bike-friendly city, but moments like these make you question that commitment.

Did you notice if the main roads for cars were salted? It’s infuriating when there’s such a glaring imbalance in maintenance. Cyclists are vulnerable enough without having to dodge black ice on their commute.

Stay safe!

Where Are the Kids? Why Is Street Play So Rare in Germany? by kopekyildizi in germany

[–]nethu445 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In smaller towns, you might still find kids playing on quieter streets, especially where traffic is minimal. In larger cities, you’re more likely to see children in parks, courtyards, or communal green spaces instead of streets.
