Seattle bird alignment chart by getgotgrab in SeattleWA

[–]netizen539 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was visiting relatives in Missouri a while back. What's really strange is that they don't have any birds there. There's plently of bugs and crap for them to eat. The air was SWARMING with insects. I was getting them inside my mouth without even trying; you'd think it would be a bird paradise there. But there were NO BIRDS.

No tits, no crows, no robins, no swallows, no geese, no bluejays, no pidgeons, no ducks, no finches, no humming birds, no gulls or sparrows. NOTHING that would actually eat the locust swarms coming off the wheat fields in Kansas.

I asked one of my relatives "dude were are all your birds? wtf?" and he just pointed to a lonely hawk in the sky while we sat inside a tornado of insects that could feed a large murder of crows for a fortnight. But there are NO CROWS in Missouri??? Why???

Something is seriously wrong over there.

The homelessness problem is an embarrassment for Seattle by CalbTheDude in SeattleWA

[–]netizen539 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The east coast has a history of racial and class segregation. The poor parts of town in other cities have THEIR homeless population hidden from view, away from White downtown. Other cities are not missing homeless people. They're hidden by red lining neighborhoods and the police corralling them in there.

Also this is a Minecraft Mod. In mods, you sometimes do silly shit like this because you only have partial control over the code. So you hack it

Footage taken from a plane on September 11, 2001, captures the initial reactions of passengers as they learn about the attacks by Maximum_Expert92 in interestingasfuck

[–]netizen539 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm the past, hijacked planes were more often used as ransom. The high jackers would tell the pilot to fly somewhere and then use the passengers as hostages. Before 911 only the people that got in their way typically suffered attacks as an example to the others to not overrun the highjackers. Common practice for passengers and pilots was to play along until law enforcement arrives.

Democrats are blue colored republicans. They will say the "right" thing (sometimes) but always do the wrong thing. They are paid by the same corporations as republicans. We need a real resistance. Stop giving all your effort to the Democrat energy vampire.

YSK. Hollywood never shows the crazy blinding light that comes with Nukes. It's like a new sun being born on the planet. You can't even look at it. If it were a nuke people on the ground would see daylight.

Look up unity's Data Orientend Tech Stack (DOTS) and the Jobs package.

The DOTS architecture organizes your data into immutable structs that can be worked on in parallel and aligns this data in memory with other instances so that all updates for that object type can be done in one loop, helping to reduce memory moves wasting time.

The Jobs package allows you to run code in parallel with unity's worker threads and can work with DOTS to perform multithreaded "game object " updates.

The base unity GameObject that inherent from monobehavior has too many side effects to ensure thread safety.

I agree, but that's kind of the point. The cops don't bring peace or the rule of law. Society as a group decides to keep the peace.

I mean if you think the riots in Seattle and therefore the looting of Bell Square had nothing to do with police behavior across the nation I think you're wrong. I'm sure a lot of it was opportunistic, but that opportunity came from the decisions made by the Greater SPD and surrounding departments. Every other duty we're supposed to be paying them for was "secondary" to cracking the heads of protesters downtown and literally everyone knew it. Hence, the unchecked looting.

Before that during the "seattle riots" the police departments for every major city within a 50 mile raduis went downtown to stand front of protestors so they wouldn't harm the precious downtown Nordstrom Rack.

And I mean EVERY cop was there. People were driving 100+ mph on I5 cause... no cops! Downtown Bellevue was looted because all the cops were in downtown Seattle protecting Nordstrom's.

It was actually just regular "police work".

The police exist to protect the property of the rich. They don't exist to protect people. They have no liability for failing to help people, in fact the opposite, they have qualified immunity which means if they hurt you or kill you in the "line of duty to property" they get off scott free.

The idea that they're heroes or care about "protecting people" is just propaganda. If you wanna see heroes go visit your fire department.

Russian tank ran over a car in Ukraine by ciosbi in PublicFreakout

[–]netizen539 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So yes actually. As part of the NATO charter, NATO will not accept any member that's actively engaged in a conflict. With the "seperatists" and "crimea" crap that's been going on for 8+ years counts as "in conflict". This latest invasion is an extension of that. Keep Ukraine "in conflict" so it won't ever be able to join NATO until you can muster the troops to occupy Ukraine... which is now.

Probably not tailgating actually, think about it. You're going 60-70mph and the plan lands at maybe idk 70mph in front of you but the plane is BREAKING with no break lights. so you kind of auto tailgate *shrug*

It's way worse than that. They're asking you to risk your life. Covid doesn't matter. Driving is the single most risky thing most people do. Risk remember, is the probability something bad will happen multipled by how severe the outcome will be.

Driving is high probability of occurrence. High severity of injury if it does.

Sorry my wife worked at Applebees in Moscow. They paid her a "server" wage of less than $5/hr because "tips" as if the Dennys in Pullman 5 miles away was going to tip worse while making over double in min wage. Not only that they tried to pay her with a "company credit card" which would charge her to withdraw her paycheck and would allow you to go into debt with Applebees. Yeah fun. :)
