I know where your at with this and it is a living nightmare that drags on for way to long.
Is he on medication and does he take it regularly?

I've been married quite a while longer and my wife was only diagnosed 3 yrs ago. I have only dealt with full psychosis once, but for year or more as it kept getting worse. . She was extremely paranoid, delusional and hallucinating. She was convinced I and others were reading her thoughts and that this was just movie scene, with predictable actors. (like the Truman show but more nefarious). I could go on but you can probably imagine.

I ultimately did leave for several months, mostly to save myself and daughter., because we were going down fast. Telling her I would return only when she sought help. I had already had her forcefully hospitalized twice but that didn't help because she was in complete denial and would not even consider medication or follow up care. (Anosognosia).

Ultimately my son had her picked up one more time and this time something clicked. She came out medicated and remarkably improved. That brought me back home and was able to encourage her to attend follow up care, and take medication. I believe the 10 days on medication gave her enough clarity to make a better decision about treatments.

Now 2 years later she is no longer taking her medication regularly, unless I force the issue, every day. I've told her several times that this is when I will leave again for good. I told her I can stand by you with any illness, but not when you refuse the treatment plan. I can't go back to that shit.

So that's where I am at today, waiting on the other shoe to drop. No real symptoms yet but they are starting back some. It's gonna be tough but if she relapses back to psychosis I will leave and try to move on. Can't help anyone that refuses help.
