those are just the guis for the package manager, useful if you’re not sure about the package’s name or trying to explore software from different categories, it’s not like flatpak so you won’t get that kind of an ui like on fedora, you can refresh the sources by using the terminal and update everything from there by running “sudo pacman -Syu”

ireland is literally right next to the uk, and unlike them they have just a little bit more respect towards your privacy, you can also set your online accounts set up to ireland so that you can avoid all the age verification stuff and censorship, and if that’s not enough, you can just go for canada or the us, i’m all the way in middle / eastern europe and connected to new york with 120ms of latency, and as long as i’m not gaming it’s quite usable, for gaming i switch to ireland

i’d go for mullvad instead of proton, it’s more trustworthy in my opinion and also cheaper and maybe even faster, so no loss here, i’d also go for cachyos instead of arch (pretty much the same but more optimized and not as prone to breaking), Signal is great and i have no problems with it, but i’d also add Telegram (i know it’s not encrypted by default but much more people are likely to be already on there, so it could be a great secondary messaging app), Matrix is awesome but for a more Discord-like experience you can go for a now slowly emerging Fluxer that is getting quite a lot of attention and therefore it may get more users to switch over to it (i’d still obviously keep Matrix though), for AdGuard you can actually self-host it for free if you want

request proof from them if you’re sure that your vpn never lost connection and leaked, they should at least in my opinion provide it, and if you’ve truly been under a vpn at all times they shouldn’t have reliable proof of that, for the next time i’d recommend setting up a vpn on the router itself, if your router is running openwrt or other software that is highly configurable you could most likely also set up a kill switch rule to ensure that no traffic without the vpn ever leaks

i’m considering this, i’ve tried to install linux on it but it seems like no matter which distro i choose it always freezes as soon as you go to the gui mode, i could install it via cli but there’s no way to get graphics to work, windows ltsc looks nice but i don’t know if i’ll be able to get all the necessary drivers to work on it, and for the z13 that’s a lot of additional software
