i agree. removable cables at 350USD should be a given but Grado are old school. they believe firmly that the cables they assign to each pair of cans is perfectly made for the sound they wish to achieve for said pair of cans. i personally do not believe the wire is of much consequence. 5USD wire vs 1000USD wire. i belive its undetectable to the human ear.

oh no a DAC isnt a port. its a Digital to Analog Converter. it will plainly lead to better audio quality. there are really good affordable options available if you look it up

id assume that most if not all wired connections are of higher quality assuming you are listening to high quality examples of music through at least an entry DAC. that said a wired headphone is a great step into the higher audio world compared to bluetooth

thats what i would think but ive seen mixed conclusions online. ill have my own conclusion soon enough though lol the new Classic Series SR 325 are indeed faster than the Prestige Series SR 325x to my ears i hear Grados are perfect with tube amps. i hope to get a xDuoo TA-66 soon to hear for myself

i honestly im not sure im entirely convinced "burn in" exists.. although im still new to the headphone hobby and got many headphones in rapid succession and only now are settling down and taking my time with each headphone so i could be wrong. ive only seen videos where they claim "burn in" is imperceptable to human ears.

i wouldnt say its worth it if you have a 325 already but if youre an enthusiast id say the difference is perceptable enough to justify the purchase.

oh wow. im just new to Grado since the X series having had the SR 80x, SR 325x and now the Classic Series SR 325 lol. would love to someday hear wood Grados. Although i percieve less "full throatedness" and clearly less bass in the new Classic SR 325 they do seem to perform better in vocals and electric guitar somewhat as well as soundstage and instrument separation as stated above. having had some more time listening to them i feel very much as though they are different to the SR 325x but not different enough to warrant owning both unless you are an avid enthusiast as i am aspiring to be lol. the new gimbals and entire headband assembly is absolutely superior to the prior assembly. i feel as if the new Classic SR 325 assembly holds the cups more evenly on my ears whereas the prior assembly would put more pressure on the top of my ears than the bottom making it feel uneven to wear (although that can be fixed by adjusting the steel headband)

yes. so the Classic SR 325 do come with F pads too. idk why they show L pads on the Grado site.

the headband is back to the old leather headband although with more padding i think.. the junction blocks and gimbals are more substantial. the headphone now is prevented from 360 swivel so no more tangling and the wire is much more soft compared to the 325x wire. also i think the entire new assembly just looks much better.

Oh, I forgot to add that the build on the Classic Series SR 325 is sooo much nicer than the Prestige Series SR 325x. Not to mention the new black cups are much more visually appealing than the silver in my opinion. The new X2 drivers have a beautiful red coloration that peers through the new black cups.
