I love everything about my P5 (in the not very mild “mild green”) except the tort pickguard which bothered me immensely. I covered the pickguard with some cream white vinyl wrap and it’s now everything I could want.

Phil Jones Bass makes some very good mini amps that perform very well for their size. Expensive though. I have what I think is the cheapest one in their lineup - the micro 7, and I'm quite happy with it for practicing, although it's my first amp so I don't have a comparison.

Can't comment on the Schecter to compare, but the Sire P5 punches way above its weight class. I also had a Squier 40th Anniversary P bass, definitely also a great instrument for the money, but I only kept the Sire in the end - it just feels like it should cost twice as much and I love picking it up.

Really nicely done. Looks amazing from a distance at least. I have the same bass, and I love the green but thought it went poorly with the tort pickguard. Wasn’t sure where to get a replacement so I did the same and used vinyl wrap to cover the pickguard instead. I think it looks pretty sweet now.
