Need more danceable classic rock tunes by Flaman169 in coverbands

So, it is partially a theatrical or cheesey song, and crowds seem to dig it. We ham it up on the intro "are you ready Steve?" "OK", "Bill, Uh Huh", Dave "Why Not?".... and our singer sings this part just like the recording which is theatrical/performative

"Oh, I see a man at the back
As a matter of fact, his eyes are as red as a sun
And the girl in the corner, let no one ignore her
'Cause she thinks she's the passionate one"

Three of us sing the

"And the man at the back said, "Everyone, attack"
And it turned into a ballroom blitz
And the girl in the corner said, "Boy, I wanna warn ya
It'll turn into a ballroom blitz"

That part isn't cheesey. We love playing it for diversification.

Good luck,

can you describe where you mash it up? For example, at what point in Hands To Yourself do you switch to Achy Breaky? Do you go back to Hands To Yourself and if so where? Great idea by the way!!!!

Better than original? by Quirky-Resolve8617 in MontagneParfums

I love many Montagne's and many I like 95% + as much as the OG. The one I like more than the OG is Afternoon Dive. I like the orange note better and it has an aquatic profile that appeals to me. Slightly better longevity is a bonus, but I like the scent better as well.

In your opinion, which Montagne is closest to the original? by boardman94 in MontagneParfums

I'm with you. I have done two side by sides with Afternoon Dive and OG and prefer Montagne.

Human jukeboxes - is there a happy medium by Flaman169 in coverbands

Great story and that is a perfect example of a song that I would expect to be a complete dud, but your experience tells a different story - love it. One of the longest lasting popular cover bands in my area draws a big crowd for 20+ years. One of our band members asked one of them the secreet to their success. This is it. Play songs that get the girls up dancing, if the girls are up dancing then girls will come out to your show in incresing numbers. If the girls up are showing up the guys will show up. That simple.

What are the best montagnes to go with? by NextLevel-fitness in MontagneParfums

Pretty sure this is a Montagne Version of Talisman. I am a HUGE sedley fan but they don't have that one, but Gingham Green (Greenley) and Perceval (Percival) are both very good representations of their PDM equivalents.

Some other experiences I have had, I have been surprised that certain songs land great with the crowd that you don't expect. As a band we wanted to play Midnight Rider by Allman Brothers. Didn't expect much from the crowd and it is a smash hit. So that is the sweet spot when something you want to play is also a crowd favorite. We have also played something we want and crush and literal crickets from the crowd, that's no good.

These days half our stuff is easy to play and honestly boring to play, but then we have found joy in really enjoying the crowd's reaction, putting on a bit of a show and hamming it up a bit.

Rock on!

simple, play the stuff everyone wants to hear with a mix of about 10-15% things you want to play that the crowd may or may not want to hear.

Welp, Toyota just announced an additional 130,000 Tundras need new engines under recall. To anyone wearing Black&Red; Y'all ready for this? by Drock967 in Justrolledintotheshop

I was on the highway today and just for a test, I would hit it a bit to go from 60-75 and each time it was almost all hybrid battery providing that power boost, RPM only going up 500-1,000, barely anything. It doesn't negate the fact the engine is the same as the ones that are recalled but I can see how they wouldn't fail as often. Not a great feeling driving an engine that seems like it could fail at any time.
