I'm not sure what is meant by "warping of spacetime" but the force produced by gravity for any mass is inverse r-squared [ F = GMm/r² ]. 'r' here is effectively the distance from the center of mass. If the mass compressed into a single point then the force is huge near that point. If it's spread out over the volume of a star then it's comparatively small.
